Are any other users of Downloader Pro Having the same problems as me. I have been using this program in favour of the DLS for the past year. now when I search I am shown only the first item on the list. I am running 2004 latest version. Thanks
I've had the problem for a few weeks, I have even been to the authors web site to see if there were any answers there, note left on the page suggested that other people were having the same problem. To no avail so I downloaded a new copy of the program to see if that would correct the problem 'No luck'.
A moment ago I started the program but I still only get the first item on the list. Most frustrating.
Mine continues to work fine (used it twice for quite a few downloads during the past two days). It sounds like something local to both of your setups, perhaps. Has anything changed recently on your system, or in your profile? Also, what kind of search are you doing? I normally do a blank name search to bring up the most recent items and browse my way back. Are all of your appropriate version boxes checked?
Hoover, Kenny!
The same with me since a few days. It's a pain!
MS upgraded my IE8 (KB971930 and KB969897) recently. Could this be a reason?
Does TDP work with Firefox?
If the issue only happens for some people then it should not be caused by a change at the server side. So perhaps upgrading to IE8 is the cause. But I am not sure. Trainz Downloader Pro uses an embedded IE and does not work with Firefox.
Can somebody who still uses IE7 please test if it still works with IE7?
Since I am not so active in Trainz I am happy with any additional info. Are there some other forums where this is discussed?
hi i have brought trainz 2009 when i download trains anything it starts to download then stops and comes up in red saying unkwn content error can anyone help me with this one. cheers
I have IE8 installed but only use Firefox for a browser.
DLP works fine for me the only time it has problems now is when I click on a item to get a detailed view. The whole program locks up until the window has loaded.Since IE8 installed it also brings up a detailed view on an item at random when selecting multiple items to download this happens quite often for no reason.
Several months ago I started experiencing this exact same problem.
I run Firefox & have done for ages, & IE is updated to IE8.
I am unable to say if I did any updates around the time my DLP stopped working.
However I am aware that others are experiencing no problems with DLP, yet I am.
It will be most interesting to finally get to the bottom of this problem, as the DLP is an excellent program & imho far more user-friendly than others, & fast too.
May be a bit off topic but I was at my local PC shop this morning & a guy came in & wanted IE8 removed from his PC as several of his programs had either stopped working or were playing up since it was installed.
The PC repair guy told me he is getting quite a bit of work lately uninstalling IE8 & reinstalling IE7 on PC's.
The problem was caused by a small change on the server side. This happened when the user used the "details" view on the Planet Auran settings.
Thanks to W11T for basic testing.
Respect for Microsoft, since the problem was not caused by IE. They kept their interface backwards compatible for more than 5 years. I work in the industry myself and know how hard it is to achieve that!
Many thanks for the upgrade.
And thanks Craig for the addition of "blog"
Have installed the upgrade & will report back later Jelte with results.
Thank you so much for doing this, as right now it is very timely.
I recently activated a new FCT (First Class ticket) & now I can't get to the DLS, (using the default Auran downloader) just the other thing, which is not installing the downloads to my TRS2004 folder!.
