Downloader Pro Installation

I am trying to install Downloader Pro version 3.1 however the installer requires the .Net framework version 1.1.4332.

I have .Net version 4 installed with Win XP Pro SP3. Am I going to have to downgrade .Net or is there something I'm missing (perhaps in the .Net configuration)? Alternatively is there alternative software I can use? (I'm running Trains v 1.3 if that's relevant).

.NET Framework versions are not cumulative - you must install the required version that is requested by the application.

Is your system 32-bit, or 64-bit? (This information can be gathered by right-clicking (my) computer and clicking Properties - if it does not state '64-bit' or 'x64' or similar, then it is 32-bit.

Thanks for that, managed to get it installed.

However there seems to be a glitch with the downloader. When I select an item or pack and add it to the queue and click "batch install", I get an alert saing "No (new) assets were found to install", even if I select "all assets in download folder". Also if I click "Add to queue" insead of "install pack", it takes ages to search for dependencies and then returns a very long list of (seemingly) irrelevant items.

So far I have tried to download the BR Class 101 Strathclyde and the Virgin HST (which is a broken external link when trying to download from the website) sets without success

That may happen if the assets you are trying to download are not for your version.

The 'add to queue' option will display all dependencies for the selected asset.

The assets are definitely for Trains 1.3 as I've only selected the "Trains" option on the search page (otherwise it states something like "TRS2004 serial number required" in the search results.

Infact I had installed these packs about four years ago without any difficulty and if I remember correctly I was using the downloader. However I lost all of the downloaded content when I formatted my PC a couple of years ago.

Although items are listed in the DL queue, the description box below is blank and underneath it says "No files in queue"

I've tried using an FTP client but I can't seem to open the ftp location given in the detailed display for the assets (e.g. /Restricted/trainz/TRAINZ01/rollingstock/kuid_2512_9905.cdp)

I'm beginning to wonder what I'm getting in exchange for the first class download ticket I just purchased and I'm inclined to take it up with my credit card company.

I've resorted to downloading files from the FTP link in the download page for now.

What do I need to do to install the .cdp files into the game? If I remember correctly I may need to use content dispatcher but I can't seem to find it anywhere for v 1.3.

DLP died some time ago & hasn't worked since as far as I know
