To All Experiencing Download Troubles:
Absolute first thing to check is your internet security settings.
I just went through a lot of work dealing with a download issue. I'd searched here in the forum for solutions. I may have missed it, but none of the posts I found dealing with download problems seemed to suggest the first place to look was internet security settings.
Shane was extremely helpful in getting all my problems solved. Most of them caused by my attempts to fix my original download problem the wrong way. But, it ultimately turned out to be something as simple as going into my Vipre virus protection and disabling my "Web Filter" when I'm using the download station. I'd imagine there's a way to tell Vipre that the Trainz site is a trusted site instead of just disabling it completely, but I haven't sorted that out yet. What really caught me offgaurd, was that I had been downloading content with no problems and then just out of the blue it stopped working. I didn't change any of my security settings, but that's what the problem ended up being.
So start there if you're having a download problem.
And let me offer up a cheer to Shane and all the effort he provides here helping us all enjoy Trainz!!!
