Hi,
I used to be able to download with no problem till now.

(windows 7 ...explore 8)

what is happening is im getting a security warning saying;-

Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
the webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection. which could compromise the security of the entire webpage.

If i answer yes ...it goes to download page..but clicking download gives me:- internet explore cannot display the webpage

if i answer no ...the same happens

but if i go to contentmanager 3,3 it downloads

If i take my internet protection off ..its still the same...

Any Ideas/help please

I haven't used IE in some time; I find Firefox works very well for me. Have you tried any other browsers?

I tried IE once, it gave me all the same doo dah. Closed it straight down and went straight back to my old friend Firefox, I've been using Mozilla Firefox for years now and never have any problems.
Go get it, it's goooood.

This has to do with Trusted sites under your Security settings. I'm not sure if you want to mess with these, but it is where the warning is located, I think. By lowering the security for trusted sites, you may be able to avoid this warning. You have to add the Planet Auran https:// link to the Sites section. It's a button marked as Sites. Highlight the Planet Auran URL first, and then copy and paste it into the box.

I hate the way IE buries multiple versions of the same thing in different places. Now remember, I could be off somewhere, but there probably at least 6 ways to do the same thing, knowing how Microsoft writes software.

You might want to try Fire Fox. I switched when I was downgraded to IE9, which I hate. Surprisingly FF isn't as bad as it used to be, and only use IE when I have to.

Thanks for your help..

just can't understand why it just changed over night.

yesterday i was downloading with no problems, then today it was giving me a security warning.

But anyway, you all use and say firefox is ok with no problems.

So i guess the answer is ,i'll move to firefox.

I never had a day's luck with Internet Exploder, used Netscape Navigator for many years until they folded up, been using Firefox ever since. Can't get rid of it tho, microsoft usually requires some version of IE to install any patches. There's another alternative browser called google chrome or something, tried that for a while, didn't like it.

Be advised the latest version of Firefox is not compatible with McAfee Site Advisor so it disables that, allegedly they're working on it. If you don't have McAfee obviously that doesn't apply to you.

Another browser you might try is Opera. I have been using this browser for a little over 2 years now with little to no problems. Very reliable and fast. Like many of you I only use IE when nessesary.

It would not suprise me if it's a result of a windows update.

NOTE: This appears to be happening due to the browser thinking it is a secure page - check the bit at the start of the address (for the DLS, it should be http:// not https://.

@Shane...it was a update that caused the problem,explore 8 updated to 9

but now when i go on the downlaod station if i click download page i get "internet explore cannot find connection"

and when i click download ,it opens my content manager 3.3 ,but just sits there idle.

also when i got to the forum home page and click "new posts" i get "sorry no matches,please try a different term"

can i do anything in settings? (where and how please)

If i really do need to install FireFox ,do i need to uninstall explore.

if i do could you/someone explain how this is done.

I use Firefox too; there is no need to uninstall IE before installing Firefox, in fact it would be a bad idea. When you start Firefox, it will ask if you want it to be your default browser; just say yes, and that is it.

If you want to stick with IE, go to Internet Options on the Tools menu, go to the Security tab, click on trusted sites. There is a tick box that you need to untick called something about https. Then you can click on "add", and put http://www.auran.com on the list. See if that works.

I gave up on explorer.an absolute nightmare
I installed firefox like was suggested by you guys.
Took 2 minutes,
and is now all up and running like before, if not better.
