What has happend to download station, no new items since 16th Dec no new uploads at all. I have read on the forum that people have uploaded items , so what has happend to them.

I have also noticed the lack of updates since 15th Dec.
Always nice to peruse through the new uploads, even if i don't download anything.
Auran please get your rear end in gear.

I kind of wish they didn't wait so long to put more stuff on because when they do, you end up having to scroll through pages upon pages until the last batch comes up.
I've been with Trainz for seven years now and not once have I complained but I do have some thoughts. I have a years subscription to Consumers Report and I receive 12 issues and sometimes a special issue or two. I have a years subscription for a FCT at Auran but I don't get to use it all fifty-two weeks of the year. I agree that everyone is entitled to a vacation whether it be for two weeks or six weeks but as of today it's been three weeks since the DLS has been updated. Will we get the missing weeks added on to our FCT ticket? Is this a reasonable question or am I being unreasonable?

I see your point, but the DS and indeed a DS Ticket are not just for new content. Many people get them so they can go get large quantities of assets for a route they download.
If I did that and was younger I think the lifetime ticket might be the best buy.
Assets will show soon. As has been said, the folk at Auran have to process a whole dollop of stuff sent up during the break and sort out people's problems too. So new content showing may take a while, we all need to be patient.

i understand that people have to have holidays but all it would have took
is a post on the auran anouncements thread saying they are going on there holidays so there may not be any new content for a while

Not trying to be a jerk or anything but how hard is it to update stuff or even just monitor things these days of the computer? This isn't the 1960s or anything. Nine times out of ten, you can access things via computer or monitor things from your own home like I can at my work.
I don't get opportunities to take time off at work as I am second in charge; if I want to make my place of business flourish; plus it is not labor intensive for me to press a few keys and scroll the mouse even on my holidays especially when I can work at home not professionally dressed and relax in my lounge chair, doing it.
I guess I can't imagine running my work place like Auran does; and not expect it to fall apart sooner or later.

Like you, I live in the UK, I don't need anyone to let me know it's XMAS & that places close for a XMAS holiday, I just
kinda figure that if I ain't going to work in the XMAS holidays, other people will be doing the same.

Also I think that the days that the download station is down, should be added onto the FCTs. I have 3 month subscription (would have bought longer if I had the money) and there have at least 3 entire days in which the DLS has been down. It's not right that days are being taken from our FCTs which we payed for when we can't even access it.

Why all the fuss about the DLS not having any updates for a couple of weeks. They are entitled to have holidays at Auran. They have only been back a couple of days and people want updates yesterday. Give them time to get the backlog of tickets at the help desk sorted. As for the FCT i have a 1yr ticket but i don't download every day. Once the DLS has been updated people will download like crazy for a couple of days, then leave off for a week or two till the next update then start all over again. Do they complain when they are not actually using the FCT during this period between updates. No... they only start getting annoyed when the DLS goes down. Try to be patient, all is not lost.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be nice if Auran took a few minutes out of there busy days to let we concerned gamers know when we might, just maybe, expect the DLS back

I'm not convinced new content is being stockpiled. I have uploaded a new Tram route and its session which which have just disappeared after being in 'waiting'.
Maybe best left for a week or two then try again.

Just a little note, in addition to the company being away over the holidays, IIRC there have been reports of the DLS having some problems. There are apparently items that have been stuck in the approval process for a while and I saw mention of an "unpacking" bug so things like that might slow down new content getting approved. And people can always try and get their files hosted on other sites too. I've downloaded a ton of stuff from non-DLS sources.
