In my last request for 5 (limit set by someone at CM) covered hoppers I received one that was sent without a dependency and the following four items were as follows; "Animal feed", "Corn gluten fee", "corn gluten mea", "corn germ meal" in place of the other four cars. This type of response has occurred repeatedly over the last few days. By doing this treatment I must wait another day to recover what I lost when both versions of the game had to be completely uninstalled. It was on my hard drive in two different locations. The software was being updated first in one folder and next time in the other like folder. How that could happen is beyond me. I know this new tactic is happening because I use the same program I used for my model railroad and the railroad name and type of car need to match. The last thing I do is to list for myself the items I've requested from the download panel. Before this latest tactic, if I ordered more than five assets only the last five items would come through. The Trainz manual says you are allowed 100MB download but I've never even gone anywhere near that number. I was trying to turn over to my two grandson's a working setup but this will be impossible unless this practice can be stopped. Deisan
While no one can stop you from giving your two grandsons each a copy of your Trainz TS12, you are effectively "pirating" the software, and not doing either of them any good, because they will not be able to access the DLS on their own, to update content, upload content, or update the TS12 product itself.
You would be much farther ahead to wait until it is on sale, and purchase several "gift" versions, that your grandsons can then register on their own, giving both of them full access to teh DLS and Forums, legitamately.
As for a direct reply to your current problem...Change your method, ditch the double copies.
--Use a single copy of TS12 to get the sim to the state you wish, then, as a last step, copy it to two seperate harddrives, as a finished product so to speak.
By using two installations, (if not done properly, by segragating them), you are asking for troubles from both Trainz and Windows.
As was mentioned, CM (Content Manager, AKA "CMP") is a program on your computer, not a drive-thru order board. If you are not getting what you select for download, you may not be implementing the software correctly...could be related to having multiple copies of the same TS12 version in the same location, or could be completely unrelated, but either way, there is no human interaction, other than you yourself clicking on the item you want to download.
Now, it may be bad communication on your part, and I will not assume that, but I have to ask...Are you using the "Black pages" (TRS2004 download station web site) to download content, or are you using the "Software Built-IN to TS12" CMP (Content Manager Plus) to download ?
--The answer might shed light on why you have a "(5) asset limit" instead of a "100Mb daily limit".
