Download Problem

Hello... I purchased Trainz for Mac last night and started the download using Cyberduck. I have used this software before to download large files and have never received and error or had a problem.

The download of Trainz indicated a time of 17 hours for 6.3Gb. I thought that this might be a little long, but considering it was originating in AU, I just figured it would be normal.

When the download completed 11.5 hours later, Cyberduck indicated the file was saved in my usual download folder. Well the file is nowhere to be found on my system. A check of the error logs indicates that there were no errors.

I am now in the process of attempting another download with a completion time of 8.3 hours and the download speed has doubled from last night.

Q1 - is this normal for downloads to the USA from AU?

Q2- is there a mirror site in the USA for downloading the App?

Q3- has anyone experienced similar results like these?

I really can't afford to have my system idled beyond this current attempted download. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have downloaded trainz simulator 12, 2 times now. Both times I did the 5 part download from Auran. I have had no problems either time (thou my connection is slow and it took about 4 hours per 1.46 gb peice).

Windows download is split into five files, 4 large bin files and a setup.exe, probably not the the same for the Mac, I would presume it's one large dmg.

Servers are actually hosted in the US by the way. The mirror for windows is a small link under the main one, no idea if there is a Mac mirror or not.

just one link for the download.... multiple would have been better.

on the second attempt, I just crossed 1.5Gb with 7.1 hours remaining.

Is this normal delivery time from this site?

Download problem resolved

My second download attempt finished off at 1:05 AM with great success. Two things to note here. The actual download was half the time. I also registered the serial number before downloading. I'm not sure if this made the difference. Thanks for the help. Now enjoying the tutorials.
