Download helper just sits there and doesn't download

I go through all the procedures to download a locomotive, or whatever, and the whistle blows, and the little download symbol with the red arrow starts to move. However, nothing downloads. I had the complimentary first class ticket for so many days, and this still happened. I won't buy one until this problem is solved. Are there any other procedures I need to do to get download helper to work right?

Are you using Content Manager? When I've seen this on my system, with Content Manager, it's because the asset I'm trying to download is already installed, builtin, or whatever. Download helper doesn't bother to tell me that. I've also seen it happen when Content Manager is not getting a response back from the Auran server. Again, Content Manager is not great about reporting this problem.

If you're going to the web page to download, try using the ftp download.

When you place a kuid in the Download Helper Action Panel in CM, it will search for dependencies and when finished the panel status will change from Search to Idle and the size column will show the file size. If this column is still 0.00 then it can't download because cm hasn't made proper contact with the DLS.
The usual suggestions for this problem are:
In CM go to File - Settings and click the Internet tab. Now re-enter your Username and Password and save. Then here in the Forum, click on Profile - Edit Account - and edit Password by re-entering your password and saving. May help or not.
