Actually I think we can

Check the video cable is all the way in the socket on the back of the monitor - often a partial fitting cable will cause this problem you have - also try power cycling the monitor (turn it off and on again) no need to power off the computer only the monitor.

Period's, comma's, and new sentences help greatly, when reading a post, that is just one big "run on sentence".

Did the PC fall, and physically impact on some hard object, like the floor ?

My GF dropped a Bell Telephone book on top of the laptop keyboard when the Kat was walking across the laptop keyboard she ripped the Kat off of the keyboard as she was so mad that the Kat was putty foot'n typing across the keyboard the Kat dug its claws into the keyboard ripping off the keyboard keys: 3 4 W E D so I taped them back on with scotch stickytape but they don't work so hot now so I went to KMart and bought the "Easy Reader" big yellow keys extra large print keyboard on the discount clearance rack for $4.99 regularly $19.99 which most probably was a return by a previous disgruntled customer because I noticed the edge of the keyboard had a big chunk missing out of a corner and was slightly cracked so I filled in the hole with a hot glue gun and burnt my finger then a month later the H key stopped working altogether except when I pounded on the H key so I took out the 14 screws on the back of the keyboard and took it apart and 127 rubber keyboard keys scattered all over creation and the Kat was overjoyed batting all the rubber key keyboard buttons all around on the floor so I think I put all the keyboard keys back on in the right places but later on I noticed the B key looks funny as it is upside down so I cleaned off the keyboard contacts with spit in my fingertip and now it works great except when I type the letter H the B key types the H key and versa visa hummer bow the bell can I fix that ?

Is it just me, or if someone doesn't put punctuation in, you read it without breathing (even in your head!)? I think I died reading your post, Cascade. I bet it took every ounce of your effort to not put comma's in :hehe:
