DLS speed

Hello all,

Being fairly new to Trainz (1st versions is TS2009 - And enjoying it alot) I have found the Content Manager too be a very slow beast of a thing to download content, So went direct too the website, using IE8 and Safari browsers, The issue I have is I am downloading at 4kbs roughly, and the same speed in Content manager as well. I don't have a first class ticket yet, but keen to get one.

But I question the speed of downloads. I am using a 20K/8K link and I am downloading at dial up speed. Anyone else have/had this issue lately?

Machine I am running Trainz on is a moderate lil thing, Soon to be upgraded too a better machine.

AMD 64 x2 Dual 4800+
2 Gig DDR2 ram
Gforce 8600 GT 512mb
Onboard sound/network.
Windows XP sp3 Fresh install.
Trendmicro Antivirus 2009
Trainz 2009

4kbs is standard unless you have an FCT.
It doesn't matter what speed your connection is, or how fast your machine is.
The speed is limited by Auran's server, not your computer or internet provider.

Yes, so did I, but I was never able to get the darn thing to work!

That's the main reason that I went back to TRS2004.
