DLS Problem

Bob48

Been here since UTC!
I just started the CMP after a gap of several weeks, and for some reason I can't get any content listed after 12/9/2012. I've tried to refresh, and left the CMP on for several hours. I do get a message to say the DLS is up-dating the database, but still nothing happend.

Is there a file that I can delete that will force it to download the DLS again?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

I believe there are some technical difficulties right now with the DLS. So don't panic yet like I did after updating my PC. :)

John

Yeah, gotta remember them Brits do weird things like driving on the wrong side of the road, putting loco cab controls on the wrong side, and they actually drink tea instead of throwing it into Boston harbor. So 12/9/2012 translated to YankeeDoodlish is 9/12/2012.

Be advised there were several glitches with the DLS in September, so most people had to do an EDR to get content mangler to actually LOOK at the DLS. Now we have a jam in the upload bot for the last week, I would advise waiting until that gets unstuck before trying the EDR so you don't have to do it twice in the same week.

Thanks sniper!

Actually, some of the tea that I've drunk tasted like it came OUT of Boston harbour.......

Cheers!

Bob,

You wouldn't want to drink that tea then. It would probably run away on its own! :)

I ran an EDR today myself and nothing has changed, so Jim is right. Wait for a bit before pressing the plunger.

Yeah, if you look on the new white pages;

http://dls.trainzportal.com/index.php

The last real uploads were 4 assets on the 18th (11/18/2012 for us Yanks, 18/11/2012 for the Brits, probably something like 2102/81/11 for them upside down antipoders) with two apparent test uploads on the 23rd and 24th. When that upload bot breaks it doesn't fool around about it.

We stuck with the day/month/year system for time and went metric for everything else. We are driven by laziness here and just want everything to be simple. Doing the mental back-flip of month/day/year is just too much drain on the brain for us.

one thing ive noticed and i dont know if its because of internet connection but when i go and download something the bar that turns blue and loads across fills and my download rate MBPS slowly goes away and turns to 0.00MBPS and itll stay like that for as long as i have content manager open and it will never finish downloading.... ive dont the extended database repair and what not and it still happens..

That's a known issue, and one I've covered partially in another thread. It's related to one of the Trainz background processes.

Well, here we are, almost Christmas, and as far as I can see, my DLS content still is stuck in September. Is this still an on-going problem does anyone know, or am I behind the times again (as usual).
