Disappearing trains

finished downloading the dash9 but it still isn`t showing up in railyard/surveyor. I just want all my rolling stock/locos back, I downloaded them to use in the route I`m building. I fixed the gp9 and it won`t show up either.

Dash 9 9522, mines ok, what's missing at your end? I've got 9 items for it.

Same here, no dependencies missing. As crazy as it sounds could there be something in the new ones I downloaded yesterday that is affecting some of my other ones?

Something wrong, nothing faulty or missing but nothing showing in game.

Stagecoach might be right, updated assets stopping them showing.

Find the dash 9 in CM, its last 2 assets the bogies are build 3.3, 2006 is 2.6,
this is part of the problem.
Senior moment they're knuckle couplers.

I understand what you`re saying but why would they work fine for months and all of a sudden change? Is there a way to change the build number so I can get all this stuff to work again?

You didn't download using 2009's Cm did you or has everything been through2006 CM.
I'm going into 06 CM to check the rest of it.

It`s all been through 2006. I`ve downloaded stuff before that wouldn`t show up but I`ve deleted it but nothing like this. I`ve had most of this stuff working in a few routes for close to a year. Now I`m trying to figure out what changed yesterday.

Now's your on the end of your seat,
Go into CMP and delete everything belonging to the dash 9.
Go to trainzproroutes and download the dash 9 (loco page) then get the bogeys (obvious page).
In CMP use the import cdp option and import both cdp's into 2006. Select the loco then deps and it will show 3 on dls (maybe 4) download these.
Launch 2006 and yes it shows, it's on my screen with I think a map of canada over the N of cn

I`m downloading the 3 dependencies now. TPR made me realize something and raises another question. Most of the content this happened to was downloaded from TPR so I can fix it like we`re doing now but some of the stuff was downloaded using cmp and is not on TPR. So what can I do with that?

Did you download from 2006 CMP (re first post) then things went pear shaped?
It may have updated stuff and in the process broke them. Shouldn't do but all I can think of.

I just checked on something ,the couplers used on the dash9 are the same ones CNR used when he made his cylindrical hoppers, all of which now won`t show up. They are build 3.3. Could this be the problem? If so can it be fixed by just switching to couplers with the proper build number? 33 of the things that aren`t working were made by CNR and probably all have the same couplers. They are 2f6p 5in frontfreight kuid2:58377:50020:1 and the rear ones are kuid2:58377:50021:1

The couplers numbers are 58377:50020 and 50021. Kuid 2 are updated.
They were what I was on about before, they are bogey 2 and bogey 3 in the dash 9 config (dont ask).

Where did you get the 2 rotary gondolas from, they're not in my 2006 cm

I've found the gondolas in my 2010 CM, did you get them from your 2009 Cm and put them in 2006, could be why things went wrong.
Only use stock from 2006 CMP. If you use the DLS and you want stuff for 2006 make sure 2009 is not ticked, keep checking it, it's a habit of reverting.

BCNE rotary gon1 <kuid:95761:15205> and procor/cn rotary gon1 <kuid:95761:15204> they should be there for you I just looked them up. So when I look in the config file the coupler kuid is the ones you listed but when I look in the dependencies list it lists the updated ones. How do I get it to use the old ones, just delete the new ones? If yes and if this is the problem with all the stuff then I just figured out what happened. It`s been a few months since I`ve downloaded any new rollingstock so if the updated couplers came out between then and now , they would`ve downloaded when I downloaded the gp9 and the 2 gondolas instead of just using the old ones.

it`s all 2006. I don`t use 2009 yet because my laptop is just a bit under spec for it, not by much but I kinda want to wait til I get a new desktop later this year.

Yes, replace all refs to the newer kuid 2 version with the old version.
