Difference between AJS's Tram Stop Type 2 & 3 stops?

I'm just curious, what is the difference between AJS's Tram Stop Type 2 and Type 3 tram stop?

I like the fact that waiting passengers/pedestrains with type 2 are all close together in lines parallel to the footpath/sidewalk very useful situation if you have shops/buildings close behind it;were as with type 3 they are spread out over a larger area suitable for a terminus with plenty of park space or large footpath area.

I don't suppose their is a way to replace ONE or TWO Type 3['s/B] via TrainzObjectz, while leaving maybe another Type 3 at another tram stop?
