After a bunch of tests it looks as though when the PSU blew it took the motherboard with it :'(. I'm guessing the CPU is most likely dead too. Looks like it is time to save up for the big upgrade. It's a shame the motherboard is dead as I was going to send it to my in-laws in the Philippines.

Sorry to hear that. I've been in that position myself twice now. The most recent a few weeks ago when I munched a pin on a USB port which fried the Southbridge chip on the motherboard. Nearly $1600 later, and I'm up and running only a few hours ago. I spent the whole day building the new rig. The good news is it power up right away without issues, but I'm getting old... The components, pins, jumpers, and whatnot are so small I felt like I was trying to herd black ants out of a pepper shaker.
