I'm installing TS2010 with builds 44088 & 49938 but i'ed like to have difference icons. Can this be done & how do i do it?

You can change any (as far as I know) icon for a desktop short-cut by right-click and select Properties, on WinXP there is a button Change Icon. If I do this for TS12 there are 4 different icons to choose from.

I have window 7. Do i right click on the larcher to change the Icon?

Not sure about Win7, but yes, right-click on the desktop short-cut icon for the launcher and see if there is a icon changer.

You can also call it what you like," Timewarp Ignition Key" or "KEEP OUT" or whatever floats your boat.

Yes, it can be done. I note, however, that TRS 2010 has only a single icon image available, embedded in the "Trainz.exe" file, and while TS 2012 has four icons, they, too, are embedded in the Trainz.exe file.

However, in subfolder "TETData" of the subfolder "bin" in your Trainz 2010 folder, there is a "CCP.ico" file. You can open this file with GIMP (and I expect, also with photoshop, though I have no experience with PS), edit it, save it with a new name, and use the new file as your new icon. by finding it with the "browse" button in the dialog box opened by "change icon". If you want a more detailed version, you can do the same process with the
"Trainz.ico" file which is included on each of your TRS2006 distribution disks. The main difference I note: where the CCP.ico file is a single layer, the Trainz.ico file is four layers, each having diffeent image sizes.

Thanks everyone it turn out that right click on it allonds you to change the name, so i change them to 44088 & 49938.
