hey Dnutter,
I noticed your fence was a little 'qookie' there. to make it straight, add spline points into the fence, then use the spline joint editor, so the points become 2 points not one.

I would suggest releasing the current one when your are finished and then add the other stuff afterward and make it version 1.5 or something.

You just upload the current route when you are done.And then go back into the route and start making the new part.
