Czech and German trains from 2010 to 2012

After hours in Google, I managed to complete the wonderfull Kilamzion routes Project Sudety and Bystrzycka in 2012. Also got Östalgie Epoch V.
So I'd like to import all the many czech and german trains from 2010. How can I do it? I know they're in userdata/ original and local, but where? Shall I have to look for kuid by kuid? All the rest of 2010 assets don't interest me, so to import the whole thing isn't a sensate option. Is it there a practical way to do it? Maybe trough Content manager?
Thanks
Walter

Hello Garoto. you can import a single route from 10 into 12 quite easily. The way I do it is to first find the route in CM, Right right click on it and then select "view dependencies'. Then in the bottom left of that window click on "view in main list". The window in CM should now list all the assets in that route. Have a look down in the bottom RH corner and it will tell you how many assets there are.
You then need to set about making .cdp files. so scroll down and highlight a couple of pages or so at a time. Right click, and in the menu that comes up click on make .cdp file. Give it a name like route1 etc, something you will recognise, and then Save it to the dek top. The maximum size of a cdp file is 2 Mb so you will probably make quite a few cdp files and you will need to be able to identify them when it comes to importing them into 12. Dont try to make the cdp files too big. It may cause you to miss something.
When you have finished go back and make a .cdp file of the Route title itself and also save it to the desk top along with the others. Close CM for 10 and open CM for 12. Go to the File drop down menu and click on Import .cdp. In the window that come up ensure that your desk topp is selected and all the cdp files you made should be there. Import the route name first then the others. I find this is the easy way to import a single, non-built in, route from 2010 to 2012. But be aware though that in so doing theer can be assets which are OK in 10 but develop errors when in 12 and you may have a bit of repairing to do. Good Luck Cheers

Sorrry , 2 mb is wrong, Probably more like 2 Gb. I'm surprised no one has corrected me. I have jusy imported another 2010 route into 1012 and actually used the letters of the Alphabet to determine the cdp files. For the first one, I scrolled to include all the assete beginning with A and B and so on but in doing so you still need to decice the file size. Some times there are so many assets beginning with the same letter that its better to just use that letter for one cdp file.
e.g once you get down to all the assets beginning with the letter W then there seems to be many more of them and so you may need to restrict the cdp files to include only the assets of that one letter of the alphabet. For what its worth. Cheers
