Culliver Subdivision- WIP (Large Shots)

Come onnnn Kris. Your tracks are 100m apart for no reason when most RRs had a 3.5-5m spacing. The hills are still surrounding the track, even though the hills were there millions of years before. The River is far too uniform considering it is forged by nature, cities are not grassland, 2L roads and then skyscrapers, the ballast should be nowhere near as wide, do you not know how to change the width of texture options? The grass should not start 30ft away from the track, it should start on the very sides.

Why is the ballast so excessively wide here? This costs railroads money and they aren't going to waste it like this, stupidly. The grass shouldn't be so straight and uniform, there is just a lot wrong with the route and everyone has given you advice before and you've never paid attention...

The siding is that far apart because it's an industry. Multiple Industry New to be exact, that's why it's invisible. The ballast on the curves I'll fix. I can change the widths. It would nice if I could not be confined to just the yellow lines. I can't use the grey lines to break the texture off. I even put that in the suggestion boxcar and they didn't even approve of it. I might just get rid of the grass altogether.

I can't even remove the grass. Unless I start over it'll take a long time to get it fixed. Ughh I'll just remember that for the next route I make. I'm going to put this one on hold.

It IS an improvement on what he used to do - one texture, no curves.

Is that what the grey line is?
This is what you do (in Surveyor):
- Go to Topology (first tab)
- Right-click the "Add ground button" (found in the bottom left corner). A window will pop-up
- Select "Classic - 5m grid".
Now you can either add new baseboards with that grid or click on existing baseboards to adjust the 10m grid to 5m grid. Note that when changing the grid, the textures can turn ugly, so you probably have to redo the textures.

When you have the 5m grid, you can blend the textures better and don't have to use this ridiculously wide ballast area and can put your tracks closer together.

I deleted the route. I'll just have to start over. Mods delete this thread.
Why start over if you can just adjust what you already have?
Follow the above instructions and you can just correct and continue with what you had already.

Do read the advise given to you; there are a lot of comments in this topic that could help you improve.

I do agree with boyerm25: You are clearly improving. Keep up the good work and following the advise you get.

How about the baseboards that you already have?

Thanks for the help.
Happy I could help.
Now mods would you be so kind as to close and remove this thread as it is no longer needed.
Why not?

I mean...
I'm now able to continue on with my mission. Thanks for the help.
Just continue posting for this route in this thread :). It is nice to be able to see the progress you are making with the advise you got.
I love it when I see an old shot of my work with my new work next to it so I can see how much my skill has improved.
