I recently saw in a thread, i think, a mention of a file called right click, no control or something like that, that lets u rt click on an asset without pressing control, to get info. I have searched to no avail. This search engine is just awful. Does anyone know about this file. Does it exist or was I dreaming

Removes the requirement to have to hold down the CTRL key when right clicking an object in driver to see info about the object.
Do a search for author "WileeCoyote" and "Trainzoptions.txt modifications/additions?"
He had a post 1-10-2008 that gives a list of possible mods.

I personally prefer having the control option... Just my preference.
Agreed. RtClk without CTRL is already mapped to panning in free-roaming view.
Due to my habit of overly comfortable posture when running long sessions...
I have tried both with and without the CRTL feature.
After a great deal of practice, I have to agree with the defalt method,
that is CRTL is activated. I do think it was the right method, and is now
the only method I use.
But... different folks, different strokes... so try both ways.
You to will decide on a favoite.

Trainz prevents users from doing many a number of things - mostly for simplicities sake.
The game itself wont let you remap the keyboard - but you can do it under user preferences in the Trainz folder via explorer. The reason that the CTRL option is there by default is probably because:
A: Everyone quickly gets used to it.
B: Prevents you from actually right-clicking on things you dont want to right click on (When you hold down right click, it lets you move the camera. It would suck to move your camera over a building and all of a sudden you get a dozen screens appearing)
C: Nobody, aside from you, as far as I know has requested the change.
