CTD caused when selecting asset

I am experiencing a CTD when selecting an asset to place on track (TRC 3 Trigger for closure of rail crossing (kuid2:458053:100686:16)).
I've tested the asset on a clean install and fresh database and it works fine so the asset doesn't appear to be the problem in itself, When I try to add it to my route I get an instant CTD. This occurs when I select the asset from the Tracks - Track Objects menu. The instant I click on the asset name the CTD occurs.
I have tried removing the asset from CM and doing an Extende Database repair before reinstalling the asset, I have even gone back to a previous version kuid2:458053:100686:15 (which is a builtin) with no success.
I am now reluctantly looking at re-installing the User Data file unless anyone can come up with a more palatable alternative.... Hoping someone has some ideas

Keith,

Delete this version there's a bug in this version that causes the crashes and reinstall the previous one unless you haven't cleaned up your obsolete items.

Disregard this below if you haven't cleaned out your obsolete assets, but in case you did delete the old ones:

Open up Content Manager.

Search for the TRC3 assets.
Highlight them
Right-click and choose show asset versions.

A new window will open up showing all the versions.

Delete the current version.

Look for the previous version number. (I can't remember what it is at the moment and I'm not at my Trainzing PC to look).
Highlight the previous version of these assets.
Right-click and choose download this version.

This will put the older version in and you'll be able to open up and edit your routes and sessions.

Hope this helps.
