Crossings, Stations and AI Questons

Hi,
When I try and search for railway crossings in the buildings section of surveyer, there are actully none that come up. Can you give me the names of some of some built in level crossings? I also looked on the download station, couldn't find any there. Any links to those would be great, thanks.
The same question for stations. I can't find any decent ones when typing 'station', I looked through but there are too many assests. Could somebody point me to a downloadable series of stations? I mean, same looking stations, all the same length, with a 1 track one, 2 track one, 3 track one, island one and so on?
Finally,m is there some way for AI trains to go to a free platform at a terminus? Like if there is a station, with 3 platforms. Platforms 2 and 3 have a train in them, so it goes to platform 1. Does this exist?
Thanks in advance everybody.

I cant answer your last question but as to level crossing they exist in abundance on CM/DLS. I only know of some of the UK ones not the Australian ones. It also depends on if you wanted gated crossings - open crossings or barrier crossings. Try searching for things like: GWR single track level crossing - double track level crossing - FMA level crossing - level crossing gated UK etc - these and many others can all be found on the CM/DLS. When in surveyor they appear under 'objects' (F3 shortcut).

As for stations - many of them are generic - ie just general stations - however there are a number of them which are named either by their location (country or town/city) or by the railroad that owned them. In the UK I would search by company name - BR - GWR - LNER etc or by place name - Bristol - Bath - Kings Cross etc.

Hi

With regard to finding a free platform at a station there are two driver commands built into TS12, "DriveToTrackmarkList v2" and "NavigateToTrackmarkList v2" both by username pguy. He has a website here http://trainz.guynet.org/ with information about many of his rules and driver commands. I don't know if they are built in to TS2010 but they are on the DLS.

You don't say which part of the world you are modelling but for UK pre built stations look for usernames "Tafweb" and "ray_whiley" and there are probably others that haven't come to mind immediately. There is also a wonderful station kit made by username "andi06". This allows you to quickly build your own station of any size, with or without various types of roof and with as many platforms as you need. He has tutorials and information on his website here http://www.ajsmith.x10.mx/trs/ for most of his assets.

As for level crossings look for username "boat" who has an excellent system for building your own custom level crossings or he has some prebuilt UK ones as well. He has a website http://www.boatztrainz.co.uk/ which has tutorials for most of his assets to show how to set them up and also has some very reasonably priced payware items to help with automated running of trains.

Thanks, excellent sources.

It should be on the Download Station - enter DriveToStation V2 into Content Manager,right-click it, and click Download. Also do the same with NavigateToStation V2.

I have also made some 'occupation crossings' ie. ones which are normally kept closed and must be opened temporarily by the user who wishes to cross - taking due care and attention, of course. Because of this, they are non-working so that they are always closed in Trainz - they are just scenic items, to be placed over the track(s).
