Boats new system is much better!

Absolutely....
I have just being messing around with this and it does the job the way I originally wanted the normal crossover to do it.
For anyone that's not familiar and thinking of trying it:-
My problem was, with the trigger multiple signal rule...the mainline or cross track would get a red when a train paases over. That's ok if both trains are traveling very slow to allow one to stop when the signal suddenly turns red but, my speeding mainline train had no chance of stopping so the only way I could get anything to sort of work was to slow the crossing train to a suitable enough speed to stop should the light go red but even then, sometimes it would go red just yards before the train passed and then the 'pass red at danger' would cut in and sometimes stop the train right in the middle of the crossing etc.
I set triggers right along my mainline all controlling the one signal to try to get this to work but the most they would do is just flash the signal red and then back again.
Anyway...Boat's system works so much better because it uses two triggers per line. When my mainline train passes the first trigger(which I have set back over a mile from the crossover with a couple of signals inbetween), it request's permission from the controller to pass over the diamond...if the crossing line is clear, it grants permission and the following signals stay green. It then monitors the crossing line and denies permission to any train approaching, untill my mainline train has gone over the 2nd mainline trigger(set just after the diamond).
Hope I've explained this properlly. This is such a better system. This is what I downloaded:-
ASB Crossover Controller <kuid:76656:70001>
ASB Crossover Trigger <kuid:76656:70002>
ASB Crossover Demo <kuid:76656:1286647846>
ASB Crossover Session <kuid:76656:1286647849>
I don't think the demo was very good...there were too many trains on track and I couldn't see how it varied much from the normal diamond crossover rule. But I had a little play and found alot of info from the information button '?' on the assets.
Then I just loaded my route and used trial and error.
Mart.
PS....I'm using Trainz 2010 SP2
