Create new asset on stand-alone computer

Hi All,
For security reasons, my gaming "Trainz" computer is completely stand-alone, i.e. not connected to the internet. Over the past couple of years this has proved very beneficial, no viruses, etc. I wish to create my own new assets via C.C.P. in 2009/2010. Because of no internet connection , CMP is: "unable to proceed as your user I.D. has not yet been retrieved from Planet Auran. " This error message then goes on to say: "If you do not have an internet connection, you can set it on the Internet Tab in the Settings window." I have tried setting my username and password in the appropiate fields - my user I.D. number cannot be entered as the I.D. pane is non-editable. As a result, I cannot create any of my own new assets directly in 2009 or 2010. Does anyone know of a work-around for this, or have I perhaps mis-interpreted the above message? As a temporary fix, I am creating via 2006, saving to CDP, then importing into 2009/2010, but this is becoming tedious with a lot of asset creation. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
Cheers, Fender :)

Why create via CCP? All you need is to import a created .im file into CMP/2 (open in Explorer) into its folder there and providing the rest of your other stuff like script, texture map(s), config.txt etc. is right, your item will show in Surveyor. Once you are finished with creating, export your creation as a CDP and upload it via your "Profile" to AURAN's server via your other (Inet) PC for getting it ready for the DLS.

If you have no folder in your CM2 yet, use the CDP you exported from TRS06 as an import into your CM2 and proceed with the above. My "creating stuff with" PC is also not connected to the Internet, hence I do the above myself, no drama once one gets used to this :D.

The first time I ran TS2010 Content Manager, the internet tab of CMP popped up and I was able to enter my username, password, and user ID. It's not editable anymore though.

Hi VinnyBarb, I thank you for your response. EdrickV, that's interesting. I don't recall the CMP pop-up when I installed 2010 ( from DVD ), but I may try a re-install just to verify. Thanks.

Are you saying that if you start CMP then select File - Setting - Internet that you can't edit your Planet Auran Username ID or Password?

Bob

Username and password remain editable, but my ID number (aka the first part of the KUID for your own stuff) became uneditable to me.

Clarification update - I have uninstalled 2010 and done a fresh re-install. This time I did notice the settings screen pop-up at first firing of CMP. I was able to enter my username, password and user I.D and "save". It was all to no avail though - the dreaded "unable to proceed, etc" has returned when I attempt to create a new asset. I fully understand the security operation associated with 2010 CMP and have no option but to create in 2006 and import into 2010 as a CDP. There is no way this computer is going to be internet connected.
