Yes. Did some more testing.

Happens on MY route only (tried same loco doing the same sort of switching on Mojave, no problem)

Doesn't matter which loco (tried a different one, same trouble)

Does seem to matter where it goes.

I noticed the other day that when I wanted to send a loco up that interchange it first ran all the way to the end of the line, reversed, and then came back to the turn out it should have taken in the first place.

I suspect I've got some sort of track spline issue.... which means getting out the crew and relaying track.

Shouldn't crash through that, try a manual drive.
Could be a duff industry.

Manual is fine, it's only the AI that causes the crash. It happens as soon as it switches direction. I'm watching on camera 2, and it makes that little shift in camera angle, which is normal, and immediately crashes.

Put a trackmark part way to the destination, try that. If ok move the tm towards the interchange, then some more until it starts to crash.

Found it.

I had an asset of mine which was originally a "trackside" that I changed to a "mosignal".

I deleted it and the problem went away.

I put it back and the problem so far has stayed away.

I think it might be that I changed what it was AFTER placing it on the route that may have mucked things up.
