CPR Heron Bay/Nipigon Subs (in sections - Warning: Large pics [1600 x 1200 pixels])

I like this shot. :) Unfortunately, frame rates were hurting care of all the rolling stock and trainz crashed about 10 minutes later.

As seen from another angle.

I honestly don't know if Schreiber yard had a tower but I got creative and added one. Here's the view from the back porch.

Shot from a few streets back.

Well what do ya know? The F7 Bs are behaving today in the cold weather! Off the Canadian goes towards Thunder Bay. Even though the yard was used heavily for over 50 years, the overpass was constructed relatively recently out of necessity as long slow trains made going north/south virtually impossible. Unfortunately, it has low clearance...

Hence they built a level crossing a short distance west (the only protected crossing in this route). This crossing is useful but local residents believe it's down more often than it's up.

I've finished basic texturing and will add foliage now...

TY UP5521! ^^ It will look better with trees. I worry that frame rates will hurt in the yard. Mind you, it's normally not that busy. ;)

I just woke up and was checking my email Transportfan and the first words out of my mouth were "Wow, that's fantastic!"

Thank you very much! :D I will be happy to use these in the summer/fall version of this. ^^

I'm trying to finish up the winter version and am just doing some quick texturing first before I do the hard part (foliage). I'm trying to get a good compromise between density, variety and performance...but once I do, it's a matter of pasting the trees in and then the winter version will be pretty much ready (heh, in the middle of the summer!).

Again, thank you so much! :) That is a great shot of your route...ha I like how someone "tipped' the barrel. I assume these can be rotated too? That's awesome!

Had to post again...

I was just about to download the barrels when I noticed you uploaded a few others, including a road salt storage dome! How did you know that that was what I needed?! ?! :D

Mark,

I will start to work on the foliage and Texturing in the comming week, as my last final is this Tuesday, and it is the one I am mopst concerened about. I'm sorry it has taken me this long to not only reply, but to start the textureing and foliage itself. Again, my apologies.

Take care,

Hello Gisa, dear friend!!

Great shotz there!! :D
@If framerate is an issue try using Wiley4 spline boxcar ... he has dozens of them ... best for yards ...

Take care

Thanks Ish, I may...the yard in that shot was more filled than usual although I haven't put any trees in that area yet. We'll see how it goes...

I realized I forgot to add telegraph poles, so I did that tonight. Also finished texturing the rockfaces here and there. I also added a fence around the petroleum transfer facility and swapped in Transportfan's road salt facility. ^^

Almost ready to put in the trees and then it'll be ready I think.

Taking me forever, but getting there. It doesn't help that when I paste trees, it overwrites speed signals on the tracks and other objects I've placed...

TY Neil. ^^ Yeah I figured I'd give him a challenge. ;)

Frame rates aren't too bad either. ^^ The look I got is alright too (I only used about 5 different trees maximum) and there is a depth to it.

Just a PITA to cut and paste the trees but I'm getting there...about a 1/3 through I figure. The hardest parts remaining would be Schreiber Yard I think.

Thanks Nwalsh! I'm almost done the foliage. I will have to redo the track speed signage and do a go through adding a few bits here and there but after that, it'll be done!
