Coupling consists query

Rail Tragic
Here's the thing. I have a 4carr service in a terminus platform [AJS 6T invisible]. What I am trying to do is call on another 4carr service into the platform and couple with it. The signal controlling entry to the platform is a 3aspect terminal signal [3AT BR Post Elec Dbl LHS 3] which seems reluctant to allow the second consist access to the platform for coupling, even though the driver has instruction to accomplish it. Researched and found a BR 3 aspect 'call on' signal thinking it was the solution, but no it acted like a standard 3 aspect.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something? Am I totally stupid when it comes to Trainz? Perhaps the game will simply not allow this procedure.... Any tips..
Working with T:ANE SP1.

How exactly are you performing the coupling operation?

Have you placed the Couple command in the driver command line for that particular train (the one moving)? The Couple command should ignore stop signals.

Yes, the couple command was set for the second train entering the platform. Have not had a problem using this command in a yard operation but in a station it seems to not like it for me.

You can drive the loco's in yourself, and couple up manually, just like real RR's do it, by manipulating the control stand handles ... There is no AI in the real world ... Try to make a Trainz session fully automatic, and AI will surely find a way to automatically screw up, and tick you off, by trying to over complicate things, with automatic scenarios

Hi

There are two driver commands on the DLS that are excellent for situations like this, "Set Selected Signal State v5" - kuid2:368725:60002:5 and "Set Signal Ahead v2" - kuid2:368725:60003:2, both by elstoko.

The first one requires the target signal to be named and can be set at any time while the second one needs to be used immediately after passing the last signal before the target signal. They will allow you to set the state of the signal which will then allow the second train to pass.

Regards

Brian
