Copying my routes to another computer

I have Trains 2010:EE on my desktop and have created a few routes. I would like to load the new routes onto my laptop.
How do I do this please?
Thank you.

To copy to your laptop, make CDPs of the routes, copy them to a thumbdrive and install them on the laptop. Use the same process to transfer whatever content is required.

I'm not Peter, but a CDP is the file extension assigned to a content dispatcher's pack. A fuller description of the process is to open the Content Manager, and select the tab at the top which says "my content". When all your content has filtered, select the line, or icon (depending upon which view you're in) assigned to each of the routes you want to copy and right click on it to bring up the context menu. One of the items in the context menu is "save to CDP". This takes the relevant items from the route, and loads them to a special type of file, the Content Dispatcher's Pack, from which you can move the files to another computer, or if you are really satisfied with your work perhaps to the DLS, or a 3rd party site.

By the way, Julie, CDP files are a good way to back up your content, too, and while Peter (and I) recommend flash drives for what you are trying to do in this instance, it might not be a bad idea to back up your routes to archival media--such as an optical disk (CD or DVD)--too.

Use content manager to save as a .cdp file.

Highlight your route in Content Manager > right click > save to .cdp. You can save the file anywhere just like any other file.

Are you planning on running Trainz on your laptop or just saving your routes there? If you're just saving/backing up your routes you should be good to go following the steps above.

I use the desktop to create the routes as it's easier for me to use but I have the laptop plugged into my TV and a RailDriver Cab Controller so my kids can play. Both kids are disabled so I have to make up some really easy routes for them to be able to practise fast/slow, stop/go, change points (junctions). Apart from the tutorials, the routes in Trainz 2010 are a bit complicated for them.
Thanks everyone for your help.
