Hi, I have TS2009 and TS12 and when I try to commit something I get an error that says :Error: File 'qbcilagycn.tmp' is not of appropriate file type
And it says the KUID is invalid, does anyone know why?

Basically, what John is suggesting, is to go into My Computer, under Tools->Folder Options->File Types and check to see if file type TMP has ContentManager assigned to it. If so, delete the association (or, better yet, delete the TMP association entirely, since it's not needed.) See if this works.

Ok, but where is the my computer folder?

My Computer is a special menu item, which is also sometimes shown as a folder on your desktop. It's under the Start menu on XP.

I think Set your default programs is the item you want to open. Then look for the TMP file type and follow my original instructions to change or delete TMP file associations.

OK, I went into the default programs and the default for the TMP files and it's not set on CMP.

Did you install and run Trainz as administrator (assuming you are on Vista/Win7, XP doesn't have this problem)? This is a common problem. Try running CMP as admin first, directly if you have to.

Ok but how would I run CMP as administrator? And yes I am running Trainz as an administrator.

Assuming you have an x64 flavor of Windows, navigate to:

G:\Program Files (x86)\N3V Games\TS12\bin

Right-click on ContentManager.exe (I think that's the name) and select Run As... Run as Administrator or, if necessary, untick the box that says something to the effect, 'Protect my computer from unauthorized program activity."

If you're on a 32-bit flavor of Windows, it'll just be Program Files, no (x86) after. I'm assuming you installed Trainz in whatever directory the Trainz installer recommended.

Ok I got the TS2009 CMP to run as an administrator, but now what should I do.

It still didn't work. I still have that error.
