I have been trying to download some DMUs from the DLS and when i click on download helper, content manager comes up like it is supposed to but the DMU that i want to download doesn't appear in it.

Any help please

Anthony

Are you using the DLS from the tab on the top of this site or from within CM?
Also, make sure that the content is not for 2010 versions.

I have experienced this when the items are built in. This is not written at the Download Station, so when you choose to download them, they just seem to not appear in Content Manager's download window.

If this is the case, you should be able to find that the items already installed in Trainz.

Northernrailman,

Lets get you some help here. I have downloaded all of the classes that you want without a problem.

Some questions....

are you searching for what you want in content manager or are you using the Download Station' Black pages' ?

....I have created a screenshot of me searching for a class 150 DMU and getting it ready to download.

Untitled-1.jpg

use the search function and enter class 150. IN the right hand pane of Content MAnager you can see the results of my search. I have highlighted blue an item that I want to download. Left click and hold on the item that you want and then drag and drop it into the left hand download pane. You can see that I have a 150 in BR livery waiting to download. Click on the start button and your download should start if you have FCT or you may need to waiting until you can access the server if you are using the free download function. If the server is full a yellow bar will appear on the bottom of the CM window. If this happens just keep clicking start button every time the word 'start' appears on it. Eventually you will be able to access the server and get your download. Once you have downladed your asset look in the 'open for edit' tab and if it appears there click ctrl and A and then ctrl and M to commit any open assets. They should now appear in your game

Tried that. It only comes up with the trains that i have already downloaded. When i click on download helper in the DLS, content manager comes up and in the section where the trains would normally come up ready to download, it just comes up with nothing in it and nothing else comes up.

OK. Sounds like there is a problem with Content Manager connecting with the DLS. Open CM and go to 'File' then 'Settings'. In the dialogue box that opens go to the 'Internet' tab and delete your username and password from the relevant boxes. Click save. Now put your username and password back into the boxes and click save again

Let me know if this changes anything

Have you tried using content manager directly?

Post #9 says 'tried that' as a follow on from my post to search and download via Content Manager with an indication that the only assets showing are those locally installed which is why I think that this is a DLS connetion issue

Tried that and that hasn't done anything

Launch content manager, dont enter anything into the search boxes just let the right hand pane populate with entires. If there is anything in the search boxes just click 'clear' and 'apply'. When the right hand pane has assets listed in them make sure they are in alphabetical order (click on the word 'name' on the grey bar at the top) and tell me what are the first few items that are listed or take a screen shot which you can e-mail to me for me to take a look. If you cant send a screenshot can you tell me what the status is of the first few items that are listed. (a screenie will be much better if you are able)

Could it not have anything to do with the internet settings?
