Content Manager: Download does not complete

Hi everyone

I will keep this message short, so it doesn't take a long time to read :).

Downloading works only with files smaller than 1mb (or so). Bigger than that doesn't complete. It downloads, but near the end the kbps goes down to 0 kbps. So the bar is full but it never gets the full completion. I have tried waiting an hour, but without result. :(

My daily limit isn't exceeded and my brother has tried aswell with his own account.

---

I only miss one file of josiassobrinho's Duplex TGV, since it is the only one bigger than 1mb. It is the 'CABIN TGV laboratory test' fileKUID2:386541:1069:3 (maybe someone could send me it, i would be very grateful :))

Nelsa. It might be stopping because it thinks you are unregistered. I suggest doing that and trying again. Also , a first class ticket will help a lot.

Download does not complete

First you need to register your virsion of trainz.
Then actavate a first class ticket.

The file might be downloading but not installing. Assuming you are using TS2010 check in the folder:

Auran/TS2010/Userdata/cache/internet

Their might be a cdp file in there which is the file you have downloaded. It will not have a recognisable name but it should be obvious from the size and from when it was downloaded. Drag this file into CM or use "Import Cdp's" on the file menu.

If you are using another version then there will be a similar folder to the one above.

If people are to give you the best help then they need to know what Trainz version you have so this is a good reason to register your Trainz. If you don't then every time you post here the Registration Gestapo will be continually telling you to register.

A first class ticket is not compulsory although it will speed up downloads.

Same thing's been happening to me in 2009 for months, only my file size threshold seems to be about 1.5 MB. Posted here a number of times, tried all the suggestions. No difference. So now I just ftp the larger files. That always works. It's something in CMP.

Oh, sorry I forgot to mention, they are both Trainz 12. I ordered two so my brother and I both would have serials so we could do the multiplayer thing and ofcourse use the DLC.

First I had the problem with not being to able to download anything (download content error aka the red bars), but then i changed my password on my account and that solved the problem.

@dnevans8: What more can I do to register than register my serial with auran?

@nfitzsimmons: You seem to have the same problem as I have, can you explain a bit more how to do the ftp-thing. I would really appreciate it. :)

Using whatever internet browser you like, go to http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

You'll need to login with your Auran/Trainz username and password. Find the asset(s) you need with the search function.

For each asset you should see 3 options:
Download (Helper)
Download Page
Add to Cart

Click on the Download Page option. On that page you'll see to options, one for using Download helper (basically, CMP) and an option for downloading using direct FPT. The second option (FTP) is the one you want.

Download the file to somewhere on your hard drive that you'll remember. When you've finished the download, go to the File Menu in CMP and choose wither the Import Content or Import CDP option. Point to the location where you downloaded the file(s). let it import the CDP file for you. It will then show up in CMP.

Hope this helps.

If you haven't already, click Serial Number above, then fill in the form, selecting the correct version of Trainz, then filling in the rest of the form.

If this still does not work, or you have already registered it and it's not appearing, you must contact Helpdesk.

@nfitzsimmons: Ow thats FTP. Omg, how strange, I now find a lot more results than this morning and at first I wasn't able to find any link on the download page, it said the link was unavailable. And now I can! I only registered 24h ago, maybe thats why.

@shaneturner12: maybe this proofs that i registred my serial in a way. But how can I get the red line with TS12 above it next to my name, so people can see i registred (if that is how)?

If it has not sorted itself out in a few days, contact Helpdesk - they are the only ones who can deal with serial number issues.
