Content is invalid

Hi, I'm new on Trainz. Just installed TS2010 and tried to download the IndustRail RS-11 3680. However, on the downloadcard from the cab (kuid_522774_1214.cdp) is said "Content is invalid". (The same happens with other downloads.) Does this mean I cannot use this locomotive in TS2010? Or is there a way to bypass or to change this? According to my DVD-box, TS2010 can run with material from TS2009.

I have just started to get this message as well.
Other posts on the Forum show that it does happen sometimes but I can't find an explanation.
I have been with Trainz since the beginning and have not experienced this before.
What has changed?
Can someone explain why?
Is it peculiar to 2009?
Thanks
Stuart.

I checked and it was 2009 items I was trying to download.
Maybe the items were meant to be 2010?
Doesn't happen to everything labelled 2009.

I just downloaded IndustRail RS-11 3615,<kuid:522774:1208> into TS2009 and it shows it's build 2.9 and it commited without err. I don't know which RS-11 you tried since you didn't post a kuid number but this one works ok.

I'm the maker of that one, they all use the same cab;

RS11 cab IndustRail,<kuid:522774:1214>

The one he mentioned is

IndustRail RS-11 3680,<kuid:522774:1207>

I made those and tested in TS2010, no errors here. Possibly you got a bad download, altho the download station and TS2010 have been acting funky lately, and TS12 returns "unknown KUID" for a whole bunch of stuff that worked in 2010.

CM3.3 has been doing funky things to me to. sometimes i will download an item, and it will have the yellow puzzle piece "missing dependencies." so i open the dependencies window and, low and behold, the dependencies have a "Download station" icon on them!!! wierd, right?

on a related note, that dependency thing sniper mentioned happens alot with me too. it sucks playing "hunt the KUID" doesn't it? :hehe:

back on topic anyway. venting complete.

Well, it's past ridiculous - trying to UPload stuff takes hours, with repeated messages that the upload failed because you're not logged in -

So I finally give up and save to CDP on the desktop and upload the CDP manually.

Now comes TS12, we were told that altho it didn't include built in TS2010 assets, anything created in TS2010 would be compatible because they were adding all the TS2010 built in assets for TS12 customers to use.

That's what I get when installing my WIP TS2010 route into TS12, so obviously it ain't ready yet. Main problem seems to be the build number, apparently Content Mangler 3.5 don't see any of the earlier builds at all. You would THINK somebody would have tested this, apparently not. I personally could just copy all that stuff from my 2010 folder to the 12 folder, but that won't help the future end user who never had TS2010. First Trainz game he buys is TS12, first route he downloads is one made for TS2010, he gets 30 unkown KUIDs and goes back to Railworks.

Just a thought, but, have you checked/ticked all the boxes for earlier versions of Trains in your DLS search settings?

Bad Game

I am fed up with the same message content invalid the developers need to get a grip of this game it is pants as far as the future goes it is goodbye from me I won't be upgrading past 19 END OF

AND GET RID OF THIS SILLY IMAGE THING YOU NEED TO PUT IT BECAUSE IT FOR ONE HATE IT YOU CANT READ SOME OF IT POOR POOR GAME IN FACT I WOULD ACTUALLY SAY CRAP,

Well you are entitled to your opinion. But to revive a 9yr old thread is beyond me. Try registering your game and you might get better results.

Agree, for all we know you could be trying to run Trainz 1.3 (one of the very early versions), in which case I would agree with the cr@p comment, or you could be trying to run TRS19 on a Commodore 64, in which case you are the problem, not the game.
