Content Download Speed - What do you see?

I recently purchased 2012 (I have 2009, 1010, 2004 etc.. meh) anyway I also purchased a FCT however the performance I'm seeing is in the 8 to 15 KBps range. My network is fine, other websites scream (like Steam) so I was wondering. So I thought I'd ask what other people seeing when they download content with Content Manager, either using a FCT or without?

FYI, my server is hosted in Houston TX, less than 300 miles away.

I personally get that speed (8 - 15 kb/s) without a FCT.

I'm in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, about 2 hours train ride from where N3V is located, in Helensvale.

I just downloaded a few items and it showed 520KBps, with a FCT.

I get really good speeds on FCT but it usually slows at the weekends. Last weekend was really bad,cheers,

Today was great, just as Boc61 said. The past couple of weeks have been horrible due to technical issues if this is what you're wondering.

No, I've had multiple FCTs but over the past three days it's been abysmal.. I haven't had an FCT in awhile so I snagged one with the 2012 edition I purchased. It sounds like they're having capacity problems but I'll wait to see what support says.
