Configuring EIT's

Simple q posed here is whether it is best to configure Interlocking towers in the route build or the session build? Does make any difference which one is chosen.

Interesting Blue.....does this mean setting up paths in a newly created session and saving such for any future created session which include them? Example...set up session for EIT's only then using same [session] for any newly created session ; [kind of save session as] and leaving the original EIT session as initially created?

Here is a link about saving to Session VS Route, and different affects on which you saved it too.

If I am thinking correctly, per your example, then saving the Generic way you want, needs to be in Route, With Sessions, you could have different setups for variety. And a Base Session for simplification of EIT's or considered Base Session.

In Fairness, I need to defer this to PGuy who more adept on arraignment of Route over Session. This is bit above my Pay Scale.

I have EIT's in a layer on the route layer, as it is part of the workings for running trains on the track and should not be any different for new sessions. You can always drag the EIT layer to the session layer if you want to.

You know stagecoach I have never used layers!! Maybe its about time I checked them out. When I began the route [in question for EIT's] I simply began with the route layer and never bothered utilising layers. This, I think, is a flaw in my route creation endeavours.
Never too late to learn new skills huh!

Layers, I just cowardly run away.

Excellent info, I didn't give a thought about Layers, and they are extremely powerful when used for keeping things separate or together. ;)
