I want to use a 4F with a rake of unbraked wagons, which would be a class 8. The speed for this train would be 35mph. Will someone please tell me how to access config.text, where, I believe, it is possible to set a particular train to a programmed maximum speed. Many thanks. Headlamp.

Open the asset for edit in explorer and open the config.txt file or you can right click on the asset and select view config file

You could also try Bloodnok's "Max Permitted Speed" rule.
This allows the maximum speed of an item of rolling stock to be set via a minor edit of the config file. On my steam era route I apply it to the brake vans.

Try searching the download station for Kuids 60850:88000:4 and 60850:89000:4. You will need to read Bloodnok's instruction carefully.
