Coming back to the game and looking for particular assets

Greetings!

I am hoping that someone one out here can help me locate some assets I am looking to acquire. I am looking for Southern Pacific equipment, Passenger cars, Steam and Diesel locomotives. Now I have found a few diesel locomotives but not enough steam or at least the steam I am looking for. Some of the specific items I am looking for are as follows:

- SP/T&NO "Sunbeam" streamlined steam locomotive
- SP SS passenger cars in the "Sunset" silver w/red stripe
- SP 0-6-0's, 4-4-0's, 2-8-0's, 2-8-2's and 2-10-2's

Also looking for the T&P 610 2-10-4 as well.

Additionally, I am looking for professional creators who can create a specific car, like particular road's business cars.

I appreciate any help y'all can offer me in my quest.

Thank you,
Gary Rodriguez

I think others can better comment on the content, but in general look on the DLS and then on the Jointed Rail, Trainz Forge, Erecting Hall, and similar sites. However, do not be surprised if your most specific content is not available.

Trainz creators are often older (typically retired) hobbyists who are self-motivated and create content foremost for their own use and based on their own extensive lists of what they personally find interesting or need for their own routes. People often imagine that there exist “professional creators” who make content on request, either based on an unsolicited suggestions or a small (almost nominal) payment. To my knowledge, this is not the case. In my handful of years on the game, I have never seen anyone say they provide such a service, or quote a price for creating content. Those who ask are almost always new to the game.

Mostly, for highly specialized requests, the typical response is to recommend to start learning how to use blender and other tools to create or reskin what you need. The wonderful thing about Trainz is that it is a platform that makes such creativity not only relatively straightforward, but also fun.

SP/T&NO Sunbeam 4-6-2s are on the DLS as the SP P-10 by trainboi1 (He also has some Atlantics in the Daylight Scheme too)

Unsure about those particular passenger cars, but there is a full Daylight consist, along with every type of GS locomotive at Trainz Forge. If you want payware, there are some nice 2-8-2s and several narrow gauge 4-6-0s.

Trainz Forge's original site has some more... lackluster SP Steam. These are reskins of Ben Neals models, most of which are old enough to vote, but they are good enough, for the most part.

Last is Greencoast Studios, which has the T&P 610, but be warned; the model is heavily bugged out and basically requires a config rewrite, as it seems like there was a scripting error. You can find some excellent SP Mt-3 models too, which work just fine.

Texas State Shops used to have a heavy 4-4-0 styled like a Southern Pacific Engine, but it's long since been lost.

All of these websites also have some locomotives that can be pretty easily reskinned or kitbashed into SP-styled engines. The new Ben Neal 0-6-0 and 2-8-2 are a great place to start, as they also have lots of modularity thanks to their meshes libraries.

Paulz Trainz has some SP coaches and steam locomotives including cab forwards. They are payware. That Texas site has all the Texas State Railroad steam locomotives which look like Ben Neal kitbashes as well as the arch roof steel open window coach fleet. The route is only 25 miles long, which would be doable in Trainz, but nobody has made one yet.

I searched for "Sunbeam" and 4-6-2 and it did not come up. Is there anywhere else it might be?

Actually, the best search I found is "Southern Pacific Class", but not downloadable until the DLS is fixed. None of the three results is called "Sunbeam" though.
