Class 170 turbostar and voyager liveries

Hi everyone does anybody know if there will ever be any new liveries done for the class 170 turbostar and voyager as I've noticed there are loads of missing liveries like London Midland, ONE Scotrail, etc.
Even Cross Country voyager is missing from our collection too.
All these have bin done for railworks but not trainz :(

Shame that is pfx as they would be good to use for trainz what liveries have you done?

The best way to make them available is give people who want the liveries the CDP file no-one will bat an eyelid. Well I certianly won't anyways

I contacted Railwaves last year about adding new livery's, and they said they cannot do anything with the items they have, except fix them, as they belonged to someone else, I am thinking it maybe an agreement between snowsignal and Railwaves not to touch them.

Which is a shame, as I am under the impression that they are just using the models to make a profit, but cannot make anything new of there own.

I would like to see the Trainz part of Railwaves, either being bought by N3V3RF41L, and then introduced as an add-on pack to the UK market, or donated to the Trainz Community, so they can make new livery's with the stock and fix the errors that exist with the items of rolling stock,

To me it seems that Railwaves interests lie mostly with Railworks, and the Trainz items are just a side line profit.

The above are my views, as I have the entire collection of Railwaves stock, and would like to see it being improved and not just left behind on a shelf somewhere, with an odd fix here and there.

I don't think that call is up to railwaves, but up to snowsignal as he owns the IP associated with his content. Given that he has long since left the Trainz community, I doubt the status quo will change. I figure someone will probably make the same content (maybe even better) within the next few years anyway and make it freeware. I have heard of an HST, 170 and 377 in the works, we already have freeware Class 90, 56, 60 and 66 and a superior signalling system, created beautifully by bloodnok, all we are really waiting on is a voyager/super voyager and some 357s (which aren't exactly a mile away from 170s).

Hmmm, Joe. Snowsignal is Alan Thomson, who now has his own company called Thomson Interactive, who make models for Railworks currently. AFAIK Railwaves (UKTrainSim) don't currently sell anything to do with Railworks, but, I haven't looked into this closely, so, will stand corrected if proved wrong. The items they sell for Trainz were first created around about 2003-4ish, way before Railworks/Rail Simulator began trading, but, as they were done by Alan T. he won't update them at the moment, as his priorities lie elsewhere and I probably doubt if he would sell that part of his franchise to N3V, or, anyone else for that matter. Nobody can reskin his creations and put them on the DLS, or, anywhere else, which is the norm for Payware stuff, copyright and other legal things binding. If folks reskin their purchased locomotives just for themselves, then, that's fine, but, you won't get any other reskins made available unless Alan T. decides to do it.

@ glbotu

I don't know of a Class 56 available, only the Railwaves' Payware one, it's the only missing mainline British locomotive that's never been made for us Trainzers for free.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

I agree with you glbotu, that the trainz community are building some beautiful models at the minute, the class 66's are superb and the class 47's are exellent. I do know about the HST sets which are being made by JN114 and painted up by Nexusdj, which I am looking forward to in the future, and by the looks of the new HST sets, they will be far better than the Railwaves ones.

I have to agree with you ex-railwayman too, about the class 56's, which unfortunatly there is none around on the DLS, which is a shame. I have just looked at the Railwaves website, and there is a Railworks folder, but no content what-so-ever within, except for the Railworks game, so I stand corrected.

Many thanks for your reply's

Just out of interest, I took a look at Thomson Interactive and I was really, really impressed with both the Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh - Glasgow route screenshots. I know it's not possible to get a completely impartial review of RW round here but based on appearance alone (which is only half the story) it looks highly desirable.

I don't have room in my life for another railsim though ; )

Oh, and I don't want to turn this thread into another 'one vs the other' argument.

For the turbostar, see peterdhicks - it was mentioned as being in production but not much has happened on it for the last few years.

I am not aware of any class 220/class 221 trains (freeware) being created.
