There will be 3 or 4 different variations of this NSW catenary added to the project..... including the unique catenary as seen on the Eastern Suburbs line.

Are those cars avaliable for DL? if not who makes them? (im assuming you) They look really cool.

Having spent some time in Sydney, I have been intrigued by this project since I joined the Trainz community.

But I have one question, why are many of your screenshots at night and/or in the rain?

I'm not being critical, just interested to know.

Chris

It's been a while since I have added a screen shot here so I thought I would throw in a screen shot of one of my new models for the project.... just to show everyone that the project is still around.

Hi Roy,

I was wondering how you were getting on.
Later I'll go & check out your website for updates etc.

This looks really good Roy, is it 'nameable'?
ie can you rename it as, say, "B_B" or "A_05" etc?, & the name appears on the points switch body?.

take care,

:)

I hadn't really considered making this a nameable item It is a thought so I will add it to my list of things to consider.

I have made some additional changes to it so here is another screenshot.

Thanks Noel.....much appreciated.

Before I finish up my screenshots for the day, this is 1 of the 4 models I am now working on full time until they are completed. This will be a challenge for me as I will have to learn a couple of things as I go along....such as how to open the doors from the cab and so on.

These models will consist of 2 different types of cars each for the T-Sets and the G-Sets.

Hi Roy,

You mentioned opening the doors from the cab?.

If I recall correctly, Cyberstorm uses trigger-points on his funiculars; to open & close the gondola doors.

And I'm not sure if he has uploaded them for TRS2006 as well as TRS2004.

:)

Noel,

Thanks for that. I will have a look to see the best way to animate these doors. While I am doing that I will also be looking at how to get wipers working as well. The Tangara drivers cab will be created using actual photos...... so a lot to do over the next few weeks,

Roy

Tangara Construction

Construction of the new Tangara train for Trainz is well on schedule. I have completed the interior of the carriage and am now adding textures to the model. Once the interior is painted, I will reshape the external shape of the train.

The picture below shows the first steps of the Tangara texturing. I decided to start on the seats near the doors.

Someone stumbled across my site and was impressed by the project. He wanted to know what the limitations were with Trainz and gave me a challenge.

So I thought I would add this fun little screenshot here in response to the challenge he sent me.

Ahah!
Flat-screen Television, whilst awaiting a 'green'.
Roy, you think of everything!

:hehe:

Give me the remote, I wanna change the channel.:p

I could reply to this Colhad, & go on about stomping the remote into a thousand tiny pieces,
just to stop you changing channels (well actually; gaining control over the entertainment).

However I won't waste time & space here; doing that.
I could be had up for waffling; without maple syrup!

:o:hehe::p

Sorry Roy. It is full moon tonight (nearly).

Information needed for grades on ESR?

Rjord1, if you are modelling the Eastern Suburbs Railway (ESR), do you know if a grade exists between Central & Town Hall of 1:25?,
as I can only find grades of 1:32 & 33, & grades, which are shown as "E's" (doesn't look as if it stands for elevation) in between each of these grades. It's partly in reference to that "Slow News Day" story yesterday by those two so called "transport reporters" in a certain newspaper.

Rjord1, with your pictures, any chance of using thumbnails &/or reducing the size of screenshots please - they take to long to load with dial up.

PS: Nbrettoner & others, their's no need to quote a picture, especially when it is directly under the original.
