Cardiff Workshops suspending operations.

New member
Unfortunately for numerous reasons and other priorities the Cardiff Workshops team will be suspending operations indefinitely. We may return in the future but do not know if/when that may be.

We would like to thank all of you who enjoyed our content and let us know.

Sometimes the real world gets in the way of Trainz. I hope we still get to see CWS around in some form, helping new members, advising on content creations and etc.

Many thanks though for all the great content provided by CWS and for your assistance that has helped make Trainz what it is now.

Just guessing.....

Unfortunately for numerous reasons (a woman and/or women) and other priorities (relationship with said woman and/or women) the Cardiff Workshops team will be suspending operations (too busy pleasing woman and/or women) indefinitely. We may return in the future but do not know if/when that may be (because the woman and/or women have not told us when we would be allowed).

We would like to thank all of you who enjoyed our content and let us know.

Just a little humor folks. Thank you for your past service to this community, and I wish you and your woman and/or women well!:p

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Don't want to be rude but what about all the stuff seen on Aus Screenshots ? The 45,422 etc:)

Have fun in the scary world:hehe:

Nat & Dave,

I for one have enjoyed your content immensely, and like others hope that you won't be too far away and that we will still see you on the forums or in the real world.

Regards,
Warren.

Nat/Dave,

I'm another who has enjoyed your content greatly. For me, your work is the essence/backbone of TRS2006 out-of-the-box. Other than that, I can't really find the words to do justice to your overall contribution to this great hobby (content, forum and otherwise).

Many, many thanks and best of luck guys. You more than deserve the break anyway.

Cheers,
Simon.

Sorry to read this post Natvander. Both you and Davido have contributed a lot to the community and I will miss that. Least of all your teaser screenshots.

I was genuinely looking forward to running the Glen Innes to Wallangarra Line. That alone would have sold TRS2009 for me.

Sad news really.

Regards

What a huge pity you have to suspend your operations guys, still, real-life does get in the way at times. I, and I'm sure everybody WORLDWIDE, who has encountered your wonderful creativity and enthusiasm in the Trainz community, wishes you all the best for the future and thanks for all the superb Aussie stuff you have offered us over the years.......

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Bummer:(

I'd like to thank both of you for all your efforts.

Trainz just would'nt be the same without your quality content. There's now a huge void left in the 'out of the box' experience for future Trainz releases.

Take care and I hope to see you both around the forums.

Steve.

Nathan, It's a shame to see you and David leaving. Best wishes for the future, and hopefully we can see the both of you, and/or CWS back again.

Chris

A great big appreciation NOTE

on behalf of the Sydney Trainzers.

Congratulations on the fabulous gear that you both have contributed to Trainz -- as well at the inovative ideas and great knowledge base you have generously shared with fellow trainzers - both locally and across the forums.

I trust your new paths will take you to fascinating and fruitful places-- and if you are near at any time - drop us a note as your skills will be missed and your content treasured.

Valedictoria : (Not limited to ) "The Silver City Comet" --&-- the cute little Rail Motor 400 class (IIRC) -- both in 2006

Waldalba Vale to Karah Bay and Parts beyond Thanks Nat

David O 's Hulking great coal moovers -- with the correctly attired driver and observer -- and rain equiped wipers.

The lonesome whistle might draw you back someday
-- til then - a full head of steam and a clear path

A very big thanks to the CWS guys, for producing probably the best overall content for Australian Trainz. Best wishes for the future guys.

Hi Nat & Dave,

My sentiments too. You have done so much, to make Trainzers become better people, through your assistance in several areas.
It's often what happens 'in the background' that makes a place special.
Thanks for helping make this place we call Trainz Community, 'special'.

Thank you gentlemen for some superbly magnificent work that has given pleasure to so many people.

From a selfish point of view I hope you can produce more models in the future, but I understand that sometimes real-world concerns have to take priority.

Best wishes,

John

Cheers. Y'all did great work, and we're all thankful.

Remember all of the silly conspiracies that came about when the old forums died? I wonder if the same will happen with this? I've already started hearing rumours. Popcorn, please.

Best of luck in all endeavours and distractions, Nat and Dave.

So sorry to hear about that nat and dave:(. i personaly thank you for all the work you have given the trainz community. I have downloaded nearly everything that has came from cardiff workshops because the attention to detail is magnificent. Your pacific national locomotives and the 48,82 and 90 class have given me hours of fun and joy.

Thanks for everything.
Best of luck with all new adventures

Congratulationson your 300 games!

Its a bit like football, I guess. Not that I follow sport that much.
But I see people with tears in their eyes, when some famous players come to the end of their playing careers.
Now I know how they feel :)
But you guys have been such a large part of Trainz all these years, I am sure that we are going to wait a long time before anyone replaces you, thats for sure :D
So may all go well for you, Trainz is a much better place since you guys were here.
Cheers
Rod

It is certainly a shame to hear this.

I hear at least one member here asking after the as-yet unreleased content. I'd say (and am happy to be corrected) that while it "looks pretty", that's only the impression we get from a screenshot designed to do just that - show off the new assets. It is likely that the new content is not yet up to the standards that we have come to love (and yes, expect) from the content that Nat and Dave have produced. Just like looking at a photo of a used car - you're not seeing the full story.

I, for one, am very glad for the assets we do have. Most of my favorite classes have appeared in some livery or other (620s, 422's, 81's and 48's), and I never tire of running them around on my layouts.

Whatever the reason for your departure guys, I wish you all the best with your future endeavours (and xplorers...), and hope that you can actually enjoy some of the things you've created without worrying about fixing x, or releasing y to the public. Just fire up TRS06 right out of the box, and play through those two wonderful sessions on the Wadalbavale Line through. Even after all the things I have built in Trainz, nothing compares to playing through those sessions, with 400's and 48's :).
