Can't install TS2009

I've been trying to install a new copy of Trainz 2009 today, but keeping getting the error message that the setup cannot read TS2009\Builtin\1.ja (and onward to 2, 3, 4, etc). It can't read the source file, it says. I clicked Retry multiple times and that didn't work...and clicking ignore (over a couple hundred times) just cycled through the rest of the files not being able to be read. If anyone has had this issue and knows how to solve it, please pass your knowledge my way! THANKS!

I had simular problems. It worked when I installed in "safe" mode, not networked.
That may have been overkill but it worked. Perhaps turning off your anti virus/malware programs while NOT connected to the internet would work.
If not, you may have a marginal DVD in a marginal DVD drive.
Try copying the DVD to the desktop and installing from there rather than directly from the DVD.

Thanks for the info! I tried turning off the antivirus software, and that didn't work. So I turned off the internet too, still didn't work. Then I copied the contents of the DVD to my desktop and tried - and it worked! Guess it must have been an issue with my DVD drive. Odd, but it's installed and now I'm gaming!! Thanks again!!
