Can't commit

I have a laptop with Windows 7, 64 bit OS. TS2010 is installed in Program Files (x86). After editing a config.txt file I save the file but when I try to commit I get this error:
Error: Failed to commit changes to asset <kuid:58843:324> due to database access error
I'm logged in as Administrator and I also tried running ContentManager.exe as administrator. Nothing helps. Anyone have a solution??

My best guess is to run an extended database repair first and see if you can alter the config file. May I ask why you want to change the config file?

Are you running all of the Trainz programs as admin (inc. TrainzUtil and TADDaemon (if it's TS2009 SP4/TS2010)

I've found that some assets require more than 1 commit to actually commit though.

Corrected Error: Attachment point 27 (a.pass37) in 'queues\passengers\attachment-points' was not found.
by changing the attachment point to a.psit37. Without this correction I can't place the traincar.

Have you checked that your antivirus software is not interfering with the access to Trainz content?

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Using Windows Firewall
No AntiVirus program installed.
I'm logged in as Administrator.

ContentManager.exe properties
Security - Administrator permission is Full control.
Compatibility Privlege Level - Run this program as adminstrator is checked.

TADDaemon.exe properties
Security - Administrator permission is Full control.
Compatibility Privlege Level - Run this program as adminstrator is checked.

TrainzUtil.exe properties
Security - Administrator permission is Full control.
Compatibility Privlege Level - Run this program as adminstrator is checked.

I can edit files like config.txt and save it but can't commit. I'm stumped.

 Hi

Try this when you close CM open Task Manger and Make sure TADDaemon.exe has closed ( dont stop it let it do its thing )
then shut down the comp then restart CM do a EDR then try and Recommit the items you have opened 1 at a time.

That is good advice there - sometimes comitting single items may allow it to commit where commiting as part of a group fails.

I've tried everything mentioned in this thread and no help. I saved the faulty kuid as a cdp and imported it into TS2009. I did the same edit there and it commited ok. Apparently my inability to commit is only with TS2010. As soon as I get my desktop computer back I shouldn't have a problem since all my installed versions of Trainz work ok on it.
