Can't access DLS. "server full"

Hey, just wondering if anyone has a solution for a server full message on the DLS in 12. I only have 4 days left on my FCT and I need to download as much stuff as possible since I just got my computer fixed after several months and I have no money for a new FCT yet.


Edit: Not even giving me a server full error anymore. Just highlighting the thing red.

It isnt even saying that it is full anymore. It just highlights it red and the start button turns to retry. I even tried reinstalling.

Close Content manager then Reset password in profile. Plenty of info in the DLS FCT forum on how to kickstart the DLS if having problems.

This morning I'm seeing an interesting problem. CMP connects me just find, but the FTP site is weird. The search screen says I'm logged in, but if I try to download anything I get the FTP logon screen. Put in my account credentials and they're rejected.

Logged off the DLS and back in again, but get the same results.

Any ideas? Resetting my password didn't help, either.

Are you using your FTP password from your profile? This is different from your account password.

Shane, I use the same password for both. In any case it appears the problem resolved it self, because this morning I'm having no problems whatsoever. And I didn't do anything except leave it alone for about 24 hours.

I guess just another one of the DLS oddities. Go figure.

P.S. If your web browser requires a username and password when downloading via FTP, use your username and the FTP password in your profile.

well, I'm new to Trainz and I can't seem to access either downloads from the DLS or Content. With DLS I get the neat red bar every time also. With Content, I just get asset failed to download with an occasional server may be loaded. Someone said, keep trying; be patient. how long do you have to be patient before you just give up? I've been trying for DAYS without one success......

Another problem - I bought and downloaded the Blue Comet. And ran the instalation. but when I run Trains 2010 Eng Ed. I can't find it anyplace. How do I get at this?

With the Blue Comet, it should appear in Surveyor under CNJ. If it does not, make sure you've entered it's serial number in the Options box, and that you've turned off the favourites feature. (See my blog on the Blogs page for more details on that)

thanks, Shane. I was using the wrong Serial Number - used the one for Trainz instead. Duh......

As to accessing the DLS, why doesn't somoone just say up front, if you wanna download stuff, you need a First Class Ticket.....??
