Had a loco derail for unknown reason,it stayed there for the longest time, when I restarted Trainz it was gone, cannot find anything wrong even in wire view, but now I cannot delete that switch and some track attached to it and if viewed from far the rotating X's are visible where it derailed, would just delete that section but it is in the middle of a Steel mill I am building any idea's on what else I can do?

There are some things to try.

Ensure you are actually on the correct layer to remove the object. You should have been building in the Route layer. So ensure first that it's not locked (the lock will be closed and not open), and your have selected that layer.

Speaking of layers: Ensure that you have the session layer visible and the train isn't still there but not being seen.

Sometimes track can get weird and become a spline0scenery object like a road. Try using that tool to delete the track.

You may also be trying to delete a fixed-track object if you used a multiple-industry for your steel mill. If this is the case, use the scenery object delete and try that.

I hope this helps. I'm sure others will have more to say.

I understand what you meant by route layer, went in through route rather than session and it deleted right away, fantastic, thank you that saved me hours of work.

Ive had same problem. I got over it by inseting another splin point a few centimetes down track, then deleteing thesmall section created, followed by reconecting joint exposed.:D
