Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011

goed gedaan

Now that I was told about this thread and having spend some time going over all the messages from the beginning, I must say: geweldig! It's the little details that make the difference between an ordinary and an extraordinary image.

One of the reasons for not noticing all this excellent work before is time, not enough of it. Some people almost seem to live here on the forums and visit every thread. But the main reason for not noticing before is that my interest in Trainz, trains and routes generally involves windmills and tulips. So those threads that feature or promise some of those will get more of my attention. Now that I know about this place, I''ll be dropping in once in a while to see a master at work. :mop:

Nine years ago, in 2003, I was on a tour that included Thailand, various places from Bangkok to Mae Sai but all to the west side of the country. Never got near Kalasin on that trip.

Hi Martin,

bedankt man, very warm felt comment most appreciated! I know time is always our friend and sometimes our mother in law if married chasing us for whatever reason:hehe:. If you're interested to see what the NE of Thailand is like where we live visit our fb page http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001778243253
you will be surprised big time that there is still a world worth living quiet and peaceful only animals and my favorite pet my mutjac deer now 3 years old and with us from day 1 and supervises me when working on trainz!
Have a great day and eat a steak for me at the queue de cheval what a great restaurant that is/was? My son lived a few years near Montreal so visited him a few times hopping over from the smoky Moutains chickamauga lake TN where I lived before NineEleven.

regards

Roy

Where did you get that ambulance from???

Have to call Ning I am completely shocked

Where did you get that ambulance from???

OMG after so many years WCL stumbled first time ever onto our thread or any post and what kind of entry.
normally when we visit somewhere we knock on the door and ask anybody home?? etc.....:p not run thru the door and ask where is the food damned....:o
Ning said what a question in your country they call 911 sooo?:hehe::hehe:

Ning hope this answers your question

Ning answer falang (foreigner) from thai culture view:
1 always smile
2 if you make little mistake smile and try again
3 does not cost anything to be polite and nice to eachother.

Question: why are many falangs so short and frustrated in answer and cannot joke back instead?

What WCL mean maybe hidden in what falang want to put at doorstep a streetdog here never would do.

Ning hopes you will see things different now and behave like most normal trainzers, happy, polite, funny and than helpful.

swa dee kaaa, falang

Ning

Good Morning Roy and Ning. At least it's morning here in New Jersey. I guess WCL didn't get the hint since they haven't responded. Maybe they're young and still learning. I'm sitting here waiting for Dave Snow's route to finish loading and thought I'd drop you guys a line. Here I am on the East Coast of the US conversing with a couple who are in Thailand who are creating a route for a railroad sim of the Canadian Rockies. What a game/sim. Hope everyone is well and as always I'm always looking for your next screenshots. Stay healthy.

And that my friend is something that never ceases to amaze me. How this activity brings people together from around the world.

What used to be such a lonely hobby, sitting in the basement watching trains go around in circles, sharing it with perhaps a few local friends. And then every once in a while, visit a train show to meet other enthusiasts.

We not only interact with like minded people around the world in almost real time we can share ideas, objects and stories. Interesting that what was once condemned as cutting people off from people contact actually allows more of it. I think many have more online friends than local friends. And I don't mean friends because someone clicked a button but people you exchange news and views with.

Back on topic, we even get to virtually visit places like the Canadian Rockies without the expense of going there, especially when it is done so well.

Martin and Stouthm,

you and many others visiting our thread regurlarly touched our heart and make a bond so beautifu! Almost get emotional really but nothing wrong with that the world is already so crual and unreal that hiding in my projects and working hard to make this ready to share with the trainz community is a happy escape really.
Ning cleaned up the doorstep and put sulphur powder to keep cochroaches and other unhealthy objects away from our little paradise:o
Ok guys extra for the day for Martin and Stouthm quick and dirty shots when testing driving more than 6 hours from Ottertail to Viktor lake.

The worst part now is to find trustworthy and really communicative partners out there in trainz land to host my stuff and who I want to work with but i have to go thru that too, its part of the real world right:confused::eek:

Hi Roy: Your artistry is really great..Your pics are really coming thru nice..Do you use all speed trees, There is some of those trees look Terrible..Some of them look like they should be in horror movies..Roy I'm just not sold on them..I know some of the 2D trees look a little sad, but there not gangly looking and don't have over sized leaves

Bob i only use pofigs and I am cleaning up older ultra's like grass that still looks 2D but most of it should be cleanted out and grass is from Jan 2 or 3 I thought are payware 1 usd or something like that i will eventually replace them here with not paywares and point out which one to buy from Jan if not alreay done.
what speedtrees you are referring too? I agree the regular ones are not even cartoonish just ugly and not of any usage for me too.
Sorry if i was to hard on you sometimes but youn making real super progress and than i get kind of upset seeing these freakin 2d objects in such a nice environment and ooops i post than what I have said.:hehe:

Morning Motorbreath,
see you live south of Atlanta! I lived in Buckhead for a while and longer period in Chattanooga, Lake chickamauga. Still miss it and hooters hot chicken wings mmmmmmm.
Take your reply as a compliment Ning says but Ning litlle bit shy she is responsible for PR and shots and I have to do the field work together with my muntjac deer checking me all day if I work well and do well and have a cookie for him when drinking coffee.

Haha life is funny, see us living here in the middle of mother nature far from civilisation and see people think there's a whole gang making this project work.
Like the monks in Tibet and here we have plenty too in NE Thailand:hehe:.
They call me the falang monk coz most time I spent in my Monestary with our animals and trainz.
Time to spread the word Ning says....................:)

Roy n Ning;)

Cool. Small world. Anyways, the posts always say Roy & Ning, so by "you guys", I just meant the two of you. I've been watching this thread for a while and I have always liked what I've seen.

Thanks motorbreath n Ed most appreciated.
Ning is disappointed by the lack of people even look at it. she have seen other quick n dirty vids we composed yesterday just in case people really would wow like we do every day and never get bored....only more enthousiastic to find a appropriate and safe way to release it.
I understand her feeling but told her everybody has a different taste, even if stuff really breakthrough top notch still people look different than we do from a different world and different perspective and angle.

ROy

Roy and Ning, just because people don't respond doesn't mean they aren't watching. I think that we are all amazed at the work you two are putting into this route. Don't stop now. Git er done.
