Thank you Nickie,
Nooooo riffle to shoot deer, we have deer at home live with us in and around the house. They are Muntjac deer and protected by law in Thailand but all Thai (stupid ignorant idiots Roy always says) kill anything that walks, creep, swim or fly to eat, so we try to protect. We have some 3 or 4 year old videos on youtube under pinkiepienter username and title my deer moomoo part 1 thru part 7 I think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQZ3eFEuW58&feature=plcp part1-7 Roy cry silently seeing moomoo knowing local people kill moomoo for nothing...:'(.

Sorry, Ning. Didn't know you have a pet "labradeer". I saw the videos - thanks for the links. He (!:D) is a real cutie pie. Roy too, of course. A beautiful, spirited animal, that just begs to be photografed. Moomoo too, of course. :hehe:
I know how Roy feels. I live on a manor (tennant - alas, I don't own it) with lots of deer in the woods and fields. Every autumn real stupid, ignorant idiots aka hunters gather to shoot deer, and most of these morons don't even bother to eat what they shoot. If only they would eat, what they kill, I could understand it - deer is actually very tasty. :udrool: But, these bozos just kill because they like to kill. It cuts my heart when I see these beautiful animals lying on the ground with empty eyes, that no longer see. For no better reason than lust for blood!:(

Post edited, though not quite to Roy's liking, I guess. :)
And, guns may be for bad people, but they are certainly bad for animals.

Good luck with the animals, Ning. Roy too, of course.

Cheers, Nickie

@64warhorse thanks for the blink i will tell Ning she will be very happy and proud but went to the market like every day early in the morning sometimes 3 most times 4:30 am to get the best veggies for Djoetje and us.
As it looks right now the route could be ready for launch end of the month very early sept the latest depending on the progress of the new website. All this is new terrain and we hope things go smooth like trainz :hehe: TS12 mean.
Have a great day

Roy:wave:

@jcalmx55 thanks yes ning did a good job on the picts shooting.... i am now trying to finish the overhaul of some few hundreds creeks but it is more than worth the extra mile to go and Code freeze well rules are there to circumvent some time only...:p

Have a great evening and sleep well our day started already 5:00 am this morning as usual.

Roy:wave:

Roy & Ning, those latest pictures, I'm sorry, screen shots, are fantastic. Good to hear about the progress of the route, late August or early September. As you know I bought TS12 just for your route so I'm showing a lot of patience waiting for it's release. You've done everything else right so I'm sure when you're ready for the route's release it will go smoothly. Just sitting here waiting.

Hey dear friend Stouthm,

thank you so much for the enormous support you and many other trainzers give us in this thread. Trainz forum is growing into a real social event other than fb with so much more dept 9not all of course but much better and more genuine than fb which is a shark and critters infested thing i use just and only for connecting to a few nice people other than that zuckerberg can sit on his mountain of cr....p if you know what I mean.

You will not be disappointed we can guarantee you for sure as picts not even come close to the real thing as Dean could witness on the 50 min already old movie this month.
your patience and many others mine included:hehe: will be rewarded with a really unseen route in trainz a totally new level never seen before in trainz and not soon in the near future as it takes so much energy, patience and time a cat copy needs time too to get even close on same level of difficulty n detail. Yes we are extremely proud Ning n I and we have reason to be trust me.

If the website dev goes well all to the end Aug will be the release but let's keep it safe on very early September.

warmest regards,

Roy n Ning( now crossing the Mekong river dry hopefully)

Roy those shots of Ning's are absolutly beautiful..I admire your work very much..You have such and eye for the proper detail..Tell me all your secrets for success..Happy Little accidents..

I find that Roy's route is so impressive because it renders the trains and the railway insignificant. Many route builders showcase the train and the railroad well, and I suppose that's to be expected since this is the purpose of the simulator, but Roy's route, at least from what I have seen makes the railroad and it's equipment look like more of an afterthought.

Granted, if the route was set in Kansas, the railroad may be the only object of visual interest for miles, but not here. The mountains look vast and towering and imposing, while the scenery is interesting in and of itself. The train looks like a timid little mouse scurrying here and there in the shadows of the mountain gods! A route that can allow the user to be transported to another region, such as this one, and I dare say GNDome's Northern Arizona route is special. I think I would probably include Zorronov's Hudson Route in the category too, from what I've seen of the screenshots. There is much to be said positive of proper route building techniques, of maximizing frame rates, of placing lesser scenery farther away from the tracks, but that can produce a "railroad centric" point of view that diminishes the awesome spectacle of the landscape the trains traverse. If a builder can capture the essence of any area, whether it be the Pacific Coast, or the mountains or even the prairies or swamps...come to think of it, the urban environment as well, such as what Isegrins produces, and George Fisher earlier, and then you notice the railroad too; well, that's going to be a stunning route.

Of course we trade off for performance, but the larger and more dominant the railroad seems, the less impressive the surroundings.

@Bob no no little accidents all done with same tools every tainzer has with TS12. Maybe the biggest difference is the time spent and experience gained and most important never shy to change even after Ning code freeze:hehe: Thanks for the nice comment and keep digging!
@Ed Wow that is post that silence me for a few minutes but one thing never say or write again failing anything as in your and mine and many others life things happen out of control and is mind boggling ugly and mean but we have to deal with it and move on and rely on real good friends to enjoy day by day. Ning said it well to Madame the drama queen although I personally would not have bothered as it is kind of Pete Seegers song from the good old days "the answer my friend is blowing in the wind"? One thing I promise you sooner than later Ning and I will make a trip to Chicago to visit you!!
Concerning your glorifying:cool:Post on my routes thank you most appreciated and dead on is that what they say? he route is over 250km this section only and steepest mountains and valleys so the most difficult to achieve in trainz any version to make it work and average 16up baseboards wide detailed to the end no one has as ar as I can see of course. tainzers all have the tendency of like you said focus on RR and all nearby where I did the opposite but not neglected the RR at all but make the scenery primary which is in real life similar that what makes this project unique. Yes our dear trainzer Fred does similar ideas only not that long or? And not that wide and not for sure the highest mountains all the way. Noticed in Gordons route he used cab mode and the view outside was not cut off so I wonder if things changed in new cabs or what am I missing as cab mode is one of the most ugly unreal views which makes trainz shamefully cheap to me.
I gonna show Ning your absolute heartwarming post and gives energy to "finish" this section in beauty and pride.
Your friend Roy

Forgot your performance tade off comment ED

Well if average 20 fps up is a trade off and 18 in real dense area yard etc city and view 5km all sliders open than yes we seem to have a trade off but I am more than happy with the results and not feel anytime stressed by stuttering teainz unless I jump from one point to another and causing the prog to rebuilt the scenery and 5km surrounding which is normal and only for a few seconds if and that is quiet normal.

roy

And last but not least it is 99% prototypical Ed

So the trade off for performance is not a real issue in the contrary and not to forget the entire route is 99.9% prototypical and in satelite looks nicer and more clear in detail on mountain peaks and valleys than google earth ouch:cool:!
I remember Cayden he reset his model te make it easier to work with and so as a consequence his reference to heights was not in sync anymore with reality where mine you can on average check anywhere the height is same as in google same place that is what I call amazing and really cool to say myself.

Roy:sleep: Take a noon nap need one really.

Hi Roy & Ning, could you post your PC spec so we can compare and anticipate how much fps we could get on our system...please ?
Thanks !

i think i did put the specs already in this thread way back but let me see and post them again. also we tested on my son's 4 year old (earlier post in this thread too)Acer aspire notebook and amazingly did run smooth but i think i put the draw dist at 3km io here 5-8km but he what you expect the pickup truck does the same job of a mac truck:p.
ALSO very important I always use 'over detailed' ocemy container consists and trains when testing that makes things easier later with normal consists running even smoother 50-150 cars consists average......yep

get back to you later on this subject ok?

regards

Roy;)
