Canadian gas station shots

Transportfan

...the sign man
Here are a few shots of some Canadian gas station reskins I'm working on:

Petro-Canada

At dusk

Ultramar

Pioneer

Esso and Shell. Not just Canadian perhaps, but Canadian versions.

Extremely nice job!

Nice job! I assume the prices are in CND$ and liters. Let's see 1.30 x 4 = $5.20 roughly a gallon x .83 = $4.32 US per gallon.

Talk about fuel shock eh.:hehe:

Actually, those prices are actually from several months ago. They actually fell to about $0.76 after the recession hit. I'm not going to change them because I'm sure they'll be back there in a year or so!

These look great. :) Could really use them in my route and I'm sure they'll be a hit with many trainzers!

I assume you'll be releasing these on the DLS right? :udrool:

Maybe the prices in Trainz will get people onto the trains :P

We've had a downtown/transit/in-town living renaisannce :P

Just shows history repeats itself... anyways, lovely shots! Maybe, I can create a model in GMAX for a more modern version? I dunno, its on my long list of to-dos. I've got some fast food places on order and maybe some furniture outlets, etc.

Just looked around the web and found this cool digital pixel font "Times Square." I think it looks better than the default MS Word "Quartz" I first used. Got rid of the first decimal as I think CDN. stations only show the price in cents.

Those are great! I could use some of those. Perhaps you could animate the signs so the price would go up every two minutes? :p

Hi Transportfan,

How are these coming along? Could really use these in what I'm working on. :D

Very well done Transportfan!
I love the fonts used for the gas prices.

What if you make it so the creator can change the price to what ever they wish? That would be neat, its a reskin though so you would have to edit the mesh to do that. :)

Cheers,
Adam

I use one called LED Board. it comes in two variants and looks quite nice... Let me dig up a picture of it.

Version 2:

and where to get it: You will need to scroll down past the commercial fonts. The two versions are the first two in the Free Fonts

Heh, you sure wouldn't know it now! Gas is at like 60 something I believe.

Great pictures!
