Can you switch CMP's?

Now what I mean is can you switch what CMP pops up when you download something? For example, I have TRS2006 and I'm wanting to get 2009 and I have many great things on '06 that I've downloaded. I want to download all of that stuff on to '09 without deleting the other game to get to put those various things on '09. I'm saying can I choose which CMP comes up when I download something. If this did not make sence to you please let me know.

Yes you can do this.

There's a way to specify where to download the data, but I can't remember.

I would create a shortcut for both versions. Call on TS2006 CMP, the other TS2009 CM.

This way the proprer CM runs for either version.

Using the Download Helper Panel in CMP or CM will install the kuid in the appropriate version. When you download a CDP file from a third party site, save it to an archive folder so you'll always have a copy. Then to install it, use CMP or CM and select File = Import CDP and point to the archive folder where you saved it.

You will be able to copy assets from your 2006 version into 2009 when you get it, though saving the cdp files before installing in either version is a good safeguard.

woodbinerr,

Download a cdp to your desktop. Right click on it and choose 'open with' from the sub menu choose 'Choose default program...' browse to your later version of content manager (CM2) and click in the contentmanager.exe file (you can find this in the 'bin' folder inside the Auran folder where your game is installed). Make sure there is a tick in 'always use the selected prgram to open this kind of file' and when you then download any cdp it will be installed via Content Manager 2

Not really sure what it is that your asking, but...

You can use CMP in 2009 to import content from 2006 into 2009.

With both 06 and 09 installed you can DL from the DLS using Content Manager Plus to DL into 06 and whatever version comes with 09 to DL to 09.

For downloads not thru CMP (DLS ftp downloads or from other sites) save the cdp to your download folder or documents and then use either versions CMP to import into that version.
