I want to play Trainz Simulator 2012 really badly but I'm not sure if I can run it. Here are my PC specs?

My specs from my laptop are:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.110622-1503)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II N640 Dual-Core Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 5882MB RAM
Page File: 1981MB used, 9782MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Video card: Graphics Chipset ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series
Core Clock in MHz 750 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 800 MHz

Also, tell me if I can run this on high or low (minimum requirements or recommended.) So should I spend $50 on this game and risk it not running on my pc? =/ I really want it.

It should run okay, especially with an optimization program like the free version of Gamebooster. You may need to turn down the draw distance to 3000 or 4000 meters.

woa, that will kill his ATI to do that. Try 1500 meter draw distance

That bad, huh? I always that GPU was similar in class and performance to an nVidia 210m. Which isn't great either, but I didn't think it to be that awful. Well, OP, I guess the moral is, don't expect too much.

He might be able to do 2000 meter draw distances without it lagging too much. I have an NVIDA 9600GT and if take too much over about 2000 meters on the draw distance, it lags, I figure his is not made for 3000-4000 meter draws, you wanna talk about lagging, it will just barley play with out dying. And it is a laptop graphics card, not a desktop one. Built totally diffrent in laptops than in desktops due to space and size lol.

it all so depends how what resloution he uses ,, the larger the screen the better
the frames. i wnet to use 800x600 and my framse rate went to 400
