Camera stuttering when being moved around.

I seem to be experiencing a problem with TRS22 where the camera tends to lag when being moved around. It's perfectly fine when perfectly still however. I use an RTX 3060TI with an Intel Core I9-10850K Processor and 3600MHZ of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM. Before today I was using an EVGA 600W PSU and the camera was perfectly fine. Today I upgraded to an EVGA GT 850W PSU. That was when I started experiencing the camera lag. Not sure what exactly is causing this.

Hi AV3
Just to check, are you seeing this on all routes, or only some? If only some, do you see it with Kickstarter County 2?

It would also be good to confirm your performance/video settings. You can find these in three places:

The first is the Vertical Sync setting, which you can access by double clicking on the Trainz icon on your desktop, then click on Trainz Settings. You should then see the 'vertical sync' setting shown, can you please tell me what this is set to?

The second is the Performance Settings; with the Trainz Settings still open, click on the 'performance' tab and you will then see the performance settings. Could you please tell me what each setting is set to?

The third is the video settings. To access these, click on 'Start Trainz' on the launcher screen, then click on the 'system menu' or 'main menu' at the top left on the top toolbar, then click on 'settings'. You should then see the 'video settings' shown, could you please tell me what each setting is set to?

Regards

I agree with Zec's comments having a similar setup as you likewise with a 3060Ti GPU. I was quite surprised how much fiddling and balancing setting was required to optimise video even with such a respectable GPU, and have since come to appreciate from others comments with higher performing GPUs that on a large route Trainz can push even the best over the edge. Your comments on uprating your PSU perhaps making thing worse could suggest you have a poor connection somewhere and it may be worthwhile reseating the GPU and remaking all the power connections even reconfiguring them if necessary. To answer the first question. I notice it on the majority of my routes which includes Kickstarter County 2.

I've attached 3 screenshots of my performance settings. Vertical Sync is on Full as seen in the first screenshot with a 1920 X 1080 165HZ monitor.

If it helps. My 850W PSU is equipped with Auto Eco Mode if that can have any effect on trainz.

I'm not sure. You might want to check the performance settings for your video card. If you are using an NVidia card, go to the 3d settings and scroll down to performance and ensure the performance is set to maximum performance.

I am happy to report that the issue has been resolved. It was indeed a connection issue between my Graphics card and my motherboard. Turns out it wasn't secured into the slot properly.
