Bug Report versus Help Desk

There appears to be two distinct problem reporting processes. The Help Desk and Bug Report. Which should a customer use? Why are there two reporting processes? Where is the link to the Bug Report. The Help Desk reporting is clearly offered in the title area of the forum.
 
I use Bug reports for problems with Trainz betas, help desk for anything else.

Ditto. If you are not using a beta version and you feel that a problem you have encountered is an actual "bug" (and it is easy to think that every problem you have is "a bug" when the majority are not) then you can also use the bug reporting system.

I have the Bug reporting address in my bookmarks for quick access. I normally use the help desk for reporting problems with the DLS and similar.
