British branch line/pre-grouping passenger stock & tank engines?

Learning... slowly!
I was wondering if anyone knew of any good British branchline or pre-grouping stock available as freeware online or on the DLS? I found the LNER E24 or something like that- it's a clerestory coach- and a few to go with it but they're quite 'cartoon-y' in appearance and don't look right with some of the better modelled engines. I know the Trainz Classics website had some suburban stock but TSMac didn't seem to like it, which is understandable in some ways.

Basically, things like 4-wheeled coaches, converted parcel vans, non-gangwayed coaches... anything that I can shove behind a dirty tank engine and run along a branch line really. Honestly, I'm bored of running rakes of Mk1s! I'm not all that fussy about region but LMS/Scottish stuff would be cool if it exists. Oh, I've also got a set of Gresley teaks and some Collett GWR coaches already.

Finally, if there are any good tank engines suitable for such operations that aren't GWR-based (I've got one 57XX, 3 14xx's in different liveries and a GWR 1361 in GW and BR liveries already!) that would be cool too. I've tried downloading a couple of 3Fs but couldn't get them to work- think they may have been intended for TC3 as well!

Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance.

The E-24 is probably the GWR E-27. :)

Skipper1945 does most of his GWR locos in GWR and BR liveries and Jay Holland does his various locos in pre-grouping and pre-nationalisation liveries. Don't get the two confused. :)

The 3F's you downloaded were probably the really old (We're taking UTC old here) ones by Blue, which cannot, as far as I'm aware, be fixed on a Mac.

pcas1986 has done Big Bertha in MR, LMS and BR liveries, and a MR Spinner 4-2-2 is in the works by someone else.

I'd be interested in any other LMS stuff that pops up in this thread too. :)

Most other pre-grouping stock and locos are from UTC/TRS2004/'06 days and may or may not be fixable on a Mac.

I hope this helps.

Kieran.

I made some GER/LNER coaches in my TRS2004 days and as far as I know these are still available. However, at the time a) I was a complete beginner in using GMax and b) my computer had only 256MB integrated graphics, so these are very much like the early Trainz coaches - ie. a bit like the old litho sides we older modellers used to use, no transparent windows, no passenger-enablement and so on. But feel free to have a look - provided you don't expect too much! I enjoyed using them in those days, with a J69.

There is some other pre-grouping coaching stock on the DLS

SR IOW Compartment Brake coach,<kuid2:146848:20500:2>
SR IOW Compartment 1 Coach,<kuid2:146848:20501:2>
SR IOW Compartment 2 coach,<kuid2:146848:20502:2>

and also some SECR ones to download here

There are some rather nice generic non-gangwayed wooden coaches from here (don't be put off by the Thomas the Tank connection). Click on the Annie and Clarabel link. The faceless coaches are included in the pack.

For non-GWR tank locos, then how about Lielestosbrat's N2s or the J69s by Gotty? They are on the DLS
